The design process was very stressful, it was hard to get in contact with the person "designing" my kitchen. At times I didn't feel like I was being heard when I would say what I wanted. The delivery guys were nice and accommodating. The directions to put the cabinets together are atrocious. I wasn't told that there was a PDF file online so my boyfriend and I struggled thru the directions provided. And they are laughable. When we finally found the PDF file online, they still were subpar. I'm not 100% sure I would ever purchase from cabinet giant again. The hassle may not be worth the money saved.
In reply to cabinet giant: it was a piece on the bottom of the soft close drawers. The drawing in the PDF instructions was not even close. My boyfriend had to figure it out on his own. There has also been a lot of dings on the cabinets, and the sides were warped and bent, chipping and broken pieces. And when I emailed you I got no apology. I changed my rating bc I'm 100% sure I would never recommend to anyone. It's worth spending the extra money somewhere else for better customer service and quality product.

Hi Alison, we're sorry to hear that you had a less than stellar experience. Can you let us know what about the PDF assembly instructions you found subpar? We don't ship detailed assembly instructions with each cabinet to save paper and the planet. We'd love some more feedback if you get a moment though. Thanks!

Product damaged and not quality
We've used cabinet giant in the past to remodel a kitchen and were so pleased with the shipment and quality. However, with our latest order for another remodel, the cabinets arrived damaged and didn't seem to be the same quality as the cabinets we ordered almost 3 years ago July 2013. When installing them the wood split easily and just overall seemed cheaper quality. We were very disappointed. My husband even said he didn't think he would use Cabinet Giant in the future.

Not so Great, Lots of Damage, Unfriendly Support & Service
My first order was back in 2010/2011, which went well. It was a small project, which I did myself. Some cabinets arrived damaged, and they were quickly replaced. Since it was a do-it-yourself type project, it wasn't the end of the world. Plus, I bought their lower-end cabinets, so I figured I got what I paid for. I would have left a 1-star review, but bumped it up to a 2-star; only because my first experience wasn't so bad.
My second order from September of 2015 was much larger, and I purchased a higher-end cabinet. Not their top-of-the-line, but maybe second-to-last. Took roughly 16-days for the cabinets to arrive. I believe they were supposed to ship within two business days if in stock, which they were, but they didn't ship for about seven days. Damaged doors, damaged panels. Constantly had to follow-up to find out when replacements were going to be shipped, never any follow-up from support at Cabinet Giant. It's the same person that handled my replacement requests back in 2010/2011, and while they were never friendly, they would follow-up, send tracking numbers, and at least made an attempt to keep a customer happy.
The cabinets themselves are junk. The doors are semi-decent, but the frames are complete garbage. They are not MDF, but likely the lowest grade plywood you can get your hands on. They do NOT snap together. I mean, they do if you want them to break. So I had to loosen each and every screw on those snap-on brackets, place the panel in, and screw it back together. While the doors look good, they are definitely MDF. Easy to discover when you drill for the handles.
The end panel I received was cracked in half. When I requested a replacement, here's what I was told by support:
"Are you able to cut off the damaged portion of the island panel and still have enough for you installation? If so, we can issue a refund for the panel as it can be extremely difficult to have a replacement delivered without receiving damage."
I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable. They should have a message on their website indicating some larger pieces are too fragile to ship. This was NOT at fault of the shipping carrier either, it's the poor packaging from Cabinet Giant. They literally would toss a door in a box with one layer of bubble-wrap, and that's it. Issuing a credit is also not an answer. I can't mount a credit on my wall, I wanted what I paid for. They have ZERO quality control.
They would send out replacement doors, which were worse than the original damaged doors I received. If you're not doing initial quality control, at least do some type of quality control with a replacement, so the customer doesn't waste even more time. How long can it take to look at a door? I know, I'm not the only customer, but that shouldn't matter. If you're that busy, over-staff a bit.
From beginning to end, it took nearly 60-days to receive everything; including damaged replacements. Sorry, way too long. Contractors do not like 60-day delays.
At the end, I still had damaged pieces, but grew tired of dealing with Cabinet Giant, so I sucked it up, took the loss and purchased from another company online. The same pieces that were "difficult to have a replacement delivered without receiving damage" from Cabinet Giant, came very well packaged, and without a spec of damage from another company online. I wasted about $1,000.00 or more buying replacements from another company online.
Cabinet Giant was great back in the day, but they have grown complacent. The customer service representative I dealt with should not be handling support, they are as terse as they come. Someone else had to step in a few times, and they were a lot easier to deal with.
Honestly, I thought the cabinets I purchased were exclusive to Cabinet Giant. It wasn't until after the fact that I discovered other vendors sell the same cabinets. Had I known that, I would have just sent everything back and purchased elsewhere. Foolish on my part for not doing a bit more research. I went back to Cabinet Giant because my first experience wasn't half bad.
We're now building a second kitchen in the basement, and needless to say, I will not purchase from Cabinet Giant again.
For the record, I had no intention of leaving a review until their automated system sent me a reminder to leave a review on Trustpilot. They should opt unhappy customers out of this review process.

Good customer service-product only fair
We ordered 4 cabinets and a wine rack of the Brindleton Maple . We loved the color but on the whole were disappointed with the quality. We had to reorder the front piece of the wine rack because of poor stain coverage and the second was not any better so we touched it up the best we could with the touch up kit they sent free of charge at our request. The sides of the base cabinets were scratched and poorly stained. Three sides would not show so we asked for one side panel. It was worse than the others. Again we touched up the best panel. We reordered 3 doors and two of them were in good condition but the 3rd one was the wrong size, so again we touched up.
The bottom of the wine rack had orange cam locks which stood out like a sore thumb( the others were all tan).In order to hide them I had to build a bottom out of the extra side panel we were sent, and didn't use because of the quality, and cut a piece out of the door that was the wrong size in order to have a finished look.
You need to know more than how to use a screwdriver to assemble these cabinets if everything is not perfect-which it probably won't be.
The response from customer service was excellent-it's too bad that the product from GFI wasn't better.

Communications are a challenge
I had been searching for a pair of bathroom vanity cabinets that were not made from particle board or MDF, so when I found Cabinet Giant's web site I thought I had it made.
First Email was to inquire if the Brindleton Maple style was available with either a lighter or no finish. No response. Ended up calling them and speaking with Donna.
I followed up with an Email to confirm that the cabinets were made from solid wood, not particle board or MDF. No response. Ended up calling again and speaking with Donna.
Ordered three cabinets on 7/1, got a response thanking me for my order
On 7/3 I received a shipping notice from UPS stating that our cabinets would be delivered on the 6th - great, really fast service. So we tore out the old sink and stayed home waiting for the cabinets - nothing. Turns out Cabinet Giant creates the shipper shortly after the order is placed, which triggers the notification from UPS, this has nothing to do with the order actually being shipped. I write Cabinet Giant on 7/7, expressing concern over customer service, and inquiring as to the delivery date, learn that this is a special order and they will not have it for several weeks. Fast forward to 7/21 - surprise! the UPS truck appears and drops off our cabinets - no notification from Cabinet Giant that our order shipped, lucky we were there to receive it. Opened the boxes, (cabinets were double boxed, boxes appeared to have been opened and resealed), 2 cabinets were damaged. Damage appeared to be due to the metal clips on the side panels breaking through the thin foam wrapping and contacting / gouging other pieces plus in one box the cabinet slides got loose and damaged a number of pieces.
I sent an Email describing the damage along with photos of the damaged parts. On 7/22 I received confirmation that the replacement parts for one cabinet and a replacement cabinet for the more seriously damaged cabinet were ordered. I responded on 7/22 with a question as to the shipping date and disposition of the packaging - no response. Followed up again on 7/24 - received a response on 7/27, cabinet parts were shipping from a separate facility, they had requested the tracking info and would forward it to me when received. On 7/28 the replacement parts arrived, still waiting for the tracking info... Top panel on the replacement face frame arrived damaged, I repaired it rather than go through this again.
Some observations:
In reading other reviews, it looks like Cabinet Giant has systemic issues with shipping damage, leaving the metal clips off the side panels and having the customer install them would be a first step, re-engineering their packing process would be a second step
The assembly instructions received with the cabinets are a joke! If one followed the instructions on the single sheet of paper provided one would be left with a pile of hardware. Found an assembly video on Utube that was key to putting the first one together, still had screws left over, found some holes in the drawers that seemed to match the number of left over screws.
I question a business model that ships wood from the U.S. to China, manufactures knock-down cabinets in China, then ships the product back to the U.S. It would seem that manufacturing the cabinets in the U.S. would reduce shipping costs and damage (which have to be substantial), and give a shorter supply chain. It would also employ U.S. workers who then would become potential customers.
I would be reluctant to do further business with Cabinet Giant

Customer Service Good - Cabinets Very Bad - Quality Poor- Video Deceitful
I had a friend use this company and saw mostly good reviews but in the end I would NOT use them again. Savings not worth it. Working with the designer was easy. Donna was good but missed a couple of things and could have provided more detail on the impact and placements of fillers given the Signature Pearl cabinets have a raised face. Customer Service was good but should not have needed them as much as I did. The video's they show do not really explain how to put the cabinets together. Cost me two extra days of labor to deal with putting them together from the contractor. I could have had them pre-built by another supplier of the same cabinets which would have ensure that everything was good, see comment later, about number of replacement parts needed, which would have added about 30% to the cost. Also the hinges they use to hang the doors are not the best – hard to set up. I needed 50% of the molding replaced because they shipped un-protected and the finished was ruined in the shipping. I need three cabinet front replaced, 2 or 3 doors, a whole side of the one pantry (the paint was chipped and split), and 3 drawer faces. If I had not been adding fake doors to the island I would have also needed a couple side panels replaced. Also had to make sure based on the different flaws in some of the wall units (3 of the same wall unit) to hang them to hid the defect in two of their frames and sides. This put my project back about a week. Customer service reacted quickly but needed to go to mfg so needed to wait for approvals to ship replacement parts. One of the frames sent was the wrong shade of compared to other cabinets of the same color. They sent me a touch up kit for each color cabinet I had to cover up many of the minor flaws that did not warrant full replacement. Lazy Susan doors do not open well either and had to trim some of the board shelves to fit the wall cabinets. I had builder grade cabinets before (original from 1992) in the house and that was a better quality then these.

cabinets refused on delivery-arrived in broken pieces.
Waited about four weeks for the delivery of the cabinets, the truck driver showed us what was supposed to be packaged cabinets-some boxes were open and damaged with several pieces of what used to be cabinet parts. We refused the delivery as we were not going to spend time shifting through boxes to try and see what was salvageable. Cabinet giant has told us that there will be another delivery in about a week being dropped shipped directly to us. Hopefully we will have a better experience then, we shall see. We cannot wait another four weeks to get these cabinets.

Arthur, I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble. We're doing everything we can to rectify the situation. Please keep in mind that the carrier damaging the shipment is out of our control.
