HRT is working. I am feeling better. Hot flashes are basically gone.

I believe I started my menopause journey about the age of 42, I’m now 57. It was awful! I started off with more night sweats then anything, So going on no sleep, I could barely function. My mood was all over the place. I went to my PC and was put on hormone therapy then. Sometime later they said I need to get off them, never really said why. I didn’t have any kind of problems with them and no health issues. Didn’t take long and I was miserable! That’s when I realized it gets so much worse then just night sweats. Just the intensity of all of it was more then I could bare! Went to a different practice to get help. That’s when they were just pushing antidepressants with all there side affects on me. It was crazy to me that they thought antidepressants were better then the hormones were. Told me nothing else they could do for me😠 Finally found a practitioner that put me back on low does hormones again, thank goodness! As the years have gone by so many more things have become an issue. Mood, anxiety and very very low libido. I would bring it up at doctor visits but it was pretty much them telling me you just have to except it, you are getting older you know🤯 Not good enough! Women should not have to live like that no matter what age. So I was feeling like there was nothing I could do, nobody would help. I couldn’t afford the pellets with all the fees and labs that goes along with it. Then I was doing a web search, I think for low libido, and Winona popped up. Was so excited that finally there was someone to help! The process was so easy! Just gave COMPLETE health history and my symptoms, and my hormone therapy was on its way. I do feel your symptoms are much more important then some lab work to figure out what you need to be your best self. I have been on hormone therapy through Winona for a little over 3 months. Still dialing in on my prescription strength, but my next 3 month prescription is on its way, and hopefully we got things figured out. I’m also on the DHEA and all I can say is my hubby is a very happy man these last few weeks☺️ I would like to see Winona be able to start prescribing testosterone, I think that would be wonderful, and helpful to so many women. But till then I will continue the DHEA. I have been very impressed with all Winona has done for me. I will be with them as long as I can, hopefully that’s forever! It's been great. I feel so much better and it's super easy. I couldn't get my gynecologist or primary doctor to even discuss HRT and my symptoms related to perimenopause. Now that I'm on it, they say it's fine.
