We are sorry to hear that your initial HRT treatment plan was not as helpful as you had hoped, Jessica! It can be disappointing to start something that you think will help and then it doesn't. The good thing about tailoring the treatment to you is that it can also be changed if it is not working! We see that you completed your Follow Up in February and that your Winona doctor left you a message in your patient portal. It does not appear that you have seen the message so a member of our Patient Care Team has emailed you for further support! We are committed to helping you find the relief you are hoping for!

Getting quality and sound sleep is important at every stage of life, Charlotte, but even more so during the menopause transition. Insomnia, night sweats, frequent trips to the bathroom, etc., can all negatively affect how you feel and function the next day. When you don't sleep good, you don't feel good! You know your body better than you think!
You know your body the best and when your Dr. says all your blood work is normal and you’re still not feeling like yourself give Winona a try! It’s definitely worth it!

Thanks for sharing this very important point, Kate! Blood hormone levels can vary greatly from day-to-day, so blood tests are not necessarily an accurate indication of what you might need. As you discovered, bloodwork can often appear "perfect" on paper, but you still may have symptoms. That is your body telling you that something is off! HRT is, therefore, prescribed based on symptoms and medical history. We want you to feel better, not necessarily "fix" your lab values. We are thrilled that you were able to advocate for yourself and are feeling better now! We appreciate your trust in us!

I have been using The estrogen and DHEA…
I have been using The estrogen and DHEA for about three weeks now, and all I can say is thank you!! I haven’t had a hot flash in almost two weeks. My sleep is so much better. I have finally started to sleep thru the night. My anxiety has lessened. Thank you, Winona!! I am so glad I found you! This was by far the best decision I have made for myself.

HRT is not an exact science, Mary, but the great thing about customized treatment is that it can be adjusted to meet your specific needs. We don't want to prescribe medications to you that are not effective, as that is both a waste of time and money.
