I have just started using the products for HRT, but my only thing with it is that you really do not have access to the doctor is all by a portal which it really doesn't tell me anything.

Lazy response times and new side effects
Didn't receive responses for a week at a time, had horrible side effects (again with a week lag time in responses), and overall realized that they're doing a one size fits all prescription and this is not great for many women. Went back to my old regimen of just taking magnesium glycinate and feel just fine minus all of the water retention and sleepiness that this product affected me with. Ladies, just talk to your doctors. It's irresponsible of this company to be prescribing us the same one size fits all medication--it's a whole other host of problems that nobody needs.

It can be upsetting to start a treatment plan in hopes of feeling better quickly, only to be plagued by other symptoms while your body adjusts.
We also apologize for any delayed communication with your Winona doctor, as we know timely and efficient correspondence is key to establishing a trusting relationship.
A "one size dose" is not prescribed though, as all women are different and have different needs and preferences.
HRT is not an exact science, and there are times when an adjustment may be beneficial.
We see that you completed your Follow Up but opted to not change your treatment plan going forward.
We are sorry to see you go, but we wish you the absolute best your continued journey!

Don't wait!
Around 2022, I began to get hot flashes. I experienced them for about three weeks, then they disappeared. At that time, I was getting them once or twice a day. In 2024, they came back in full force; with all the fun extras (night sweats, fatigue, hot flashes, and brain fog). I was having 10-12 hot flashes a day, some of them lasting up to two minutes each. I was waking up every night between 2am-4am sweating profusely. I bought everything I could to try to help; "cold" sheets and pillow cases, ice fans, etc. I already had a mattress ac unit. Nothing helped. Not to mention, I thought I was losing my mind. I was forgetful, couldn't concentrate, and felt downright terrible. It was affecting my social and family life. That's when I went online and did research, and found Winona.
After their quiz, it was recommended that I use the 50/50 cream and DHEA. The treatment is expensive, especially with not being able to use insurance. But it was a price I was willing to pay to get relief. It took about two weeks to get- no biggie. I'm not sure why, but when I originally received it, I was scared to try it, afraid of what it might do to me being a hormone replacement. After a week, I began the treatment.
The DHEA is just a small pill-easy to swallow (I took it in the morning). The cream (used before bed) is thick, and almost unscented. I'm very sensitive to scents and get migraines. The scent never bothered me. I apply it to my wrists, so that I don't have to use my hands. It does take a little longer than the recommended 10-15 seconds to rub in all the way. Even after about 10 minutes, it's still not fully absorbed and slightly "tacky" when I get in bed. I just put my hands on top of the sheets, instead of under them.
Ladies! I kid you not, after THREE days, I was already experiencing relief. My hot flashes were decreasing significantly. After one month, I was completely free of hot flashes and night sweats, and thankfully my PCP prescribed sleeping meds while I transitioned. I was truly happy... Until I wasn't. I didn't feel like me anymore. I was so depressed and sad. After conversations with my doctor, we felt that maybe the DHEA pills were affecting my anti-depressant medicine. I'm on Bupropion XL (300mg). On my next refill, I reached out to Winona to address my concerns. The doctor was pretty slow to respond. I actually had to reach out a couple of times to get a response. Once I did, another doctor agreed that I should definitely stop the DHEA. So, I did, and it made a world of difference. I'm beginning to feel better again.
All in all, I am so thankful to find this company. The cream has changed my life. I don't know how women live day to day experiencing what I experienced. I'm not sure if you eventually get used to the cream and it stops working, but I'm going to love it while I can. And don't be scared, like I was. The worst that can happen is you get your life back :)
