My experience with Winona Ended Badly
My experience with Winona was mixed. While they initially helped me get started with HRT, I ultimately felt dismissed when my needs went beyond what they could provide. When Winona was no longer able to help, my doctor gave advice that felt unhelpful and minimizing — suggesting I “Google a primal morning routine” and repeat the phrase “life happens for us, not to us.” I did not feel heard or supported during that transition. I also felt that Winona may oversell what their products can realistically accomplish. Additionally, it seemed that only overwhelmingly positive experiences were welcomed in their forum, as critical or balanced feedback did not appear to be allowed. That left me feeling like my experience didn’t matter once it was no longer glowing. I have since started a more comprehensive HRT plan with my doctor that includes testosterone, which has been a better fit for me. While Winona helped me take the first step, I believe there is room for more transparency and openness to a wider range of patient experiences.
