While the cream I was prescribed has worked great, the DHEA made me feel jittery. I stopped taking the DHEA and my natural level is at 56 mcg/dL… I wish Winona would have tested my levels before prescribing, I think that would be a wise move.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the cream has worked well for you, though we’re sorry to hear that the DHEA did not agree with you and caused uncomfortable side effects. We understand your concerns regarding hormone testing. However, blood hormone levels can vary significantly from day to day, and test results do not always correlate with symptoms or indicate whether a patient may benefit from treatment. In accordance with recommendations from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and The Menopause Society, Winona does not require hormone testing prior to prescribing HRT. Treatment decisions are based primarily on symptoms, medical history, and individual treatment goals rather than laboratory values alone. That said, every patient’s experience is unique, and we appreciate your perspective. We encourage you to continue discussing any concerns or side effects with your doctor so they can help determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your individual needs. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback.
