I have been using Buildium for over 5 years. I'm a treasurer of an association and it was the software used by management prior to me taking it over. I've been doing accounting for over 25 years. This software has a LOT of glitches. Just recently, I went to reconcile March of 2020 bank account and all of my reconciliation from 2019 through 2020 are no longer done and there is data missing. I now have to go back and reconcile over a year's worth of data. The person that I spoke with in customer service asked me if I did anything which is clearly not the case. Can't wait to find a better software.... Been having issues since the beginning.

Buildium is a good software. However, waiting to speak with a representative to trouble shoot is exhausting. I strongly recommend providing local classes so your clients can be better versed on how to use the features available. I am sure you have some customers that have become experts in using your system and would be happy to train your clients locally or possibly travel for large group traning. Nonetheless, training is needed and would be a great value to your customers.

I've had Buildium for about 2 years and loved it so much but in recent months it's been a terrible experience. I pay for the Pro plan and pay an annual fee. My customers can no longer pay with a credit card when filling out rent applications because of the encryption problem with Wells Fargo for at least 6 months now. Still not fixed. I've had multiple technical issues with my two-factor authentication codes. I lost almost 24 hours to be able to do critical work I needed to do. It takes about an hour for tech support to answer the phone. I've lost rental applications in my application files. They just disappeared. So many problems with Buildium. I have lost total confidence in the database company. I'm looking for another company to handle it or even better buy software to manage my property management. I have very low trust levels because it's been one thing after another. Losing time and productivity hurts my company, makes my customers look poorly upon me, which ends up for me to essentially losing money. Sorry, Buildium. You were the bomb for a long time but something has been going on in the last 6 months or so that makes it very difficult to work with you anymore. I pay way too much money for this system and it's just not worth it anymore.

I would give Buildium 5 stars but over the past month I have not been able to get any support . Support tickets are acknowledged by ROBO email but real responses never appear. There is no way to track the status of any support ticket as that feature was dropped. The hold times were more than 30 minutes every time I recently called and gave up. Email pleas go unanswered. I do have support issues which need attention badly. Threats of giving a bad review have been ignored. I am tempted to look at the competition .

Some features that I still can not get working. Like the violations feature. Plus there is so much that this app can do and doesn't have. Like a pet section with picture, Minor children in the unit and so much more. I would give this a higher rating if things would work or things would get better for this app. I am currently looking for another program that we can use that will give us what we need for multiple units

Workflow is poorly designed, overly complicated, and seems like the system is about 20 years behind the times on technology and design. No in-flow help bubbles, navigation is crazy bad in some areas, critical functions often are buried 4-5 layers deep in menus etc. etc. Even worse, there are numerous unresolved bugs throughout the system, some of them fatal to workflow. Support is really sketchy. Often takes days to hear back, and it's designed more for VA's to act like you just didn't watch enough of their training videos than actually get techs online to fix the bug. The only saving grace is that you will have a success associate more-or-less assigned to you and when all else fails bugging them enough can sometimes get a fire lit under support.

Buildium is great for places with under 100 units. If you are over 100 units, use Appfolio, Yardi, or Entrata. Maintenance and accounting are a nightmare when you get over that amount. Simply put there is just much better software out there and Buildium is very slow at implementing software updates.

I recommend Buildium keep up with other companies in regards to technology.
