Poor supporting and customer service. Regretting moving to Buildium
I suggested my company move to Buildium almost one and half months ago. I already regretted. The courses from Buildium are good. However, the staff and customer services are horrible. We applied epay for a month or so ago, now still not working. The compliance team were slow and arrogant, many times just replying one simple sentence not giving constructive guidance. Other supporting team either not respond or slow. We may end up to take paper checks for current month fro many tenants, although we switched to Buildium one and half months ago. Not a good start at all. Disappointed.

I have called and submitted a suggestion for this sub class or some type of way to separate the neighborhoods for the rental owner report.
I have called and submitted a suggestion for a sub class for Rental Owners reports. We have several neighborhoods but only one owner and we need to have a way to report based on neighborhood budget to actuals. Still no way to do this on your software, We may have to look elsewhere to get this software for us if you are not able to create a report to do this for us.

Hi Rhonda,
Thank you for your review. If you haven't already, please reach out to our customer care team for suggestions on working with this scenario. One such suggestion I can offer is that you can create groups of properties. So if you have several properties within a particular neighborhood, you can make a group that you can then select when running reports. Please check out our support article for more info: https://help.buildium.com/hc/s/article/Groups-1557495008342
Hope that helps!

9 years with Buildium...
My company has been with Buildium since 2014 and deposited well into the millions through their system. For a very long time the customer service and functionality were wonderful. However, over the last 1.5 years things have steadily gotten worse. We switched our management portfolio to new bank accounts last October and it was a mess with funds being deducted from the wrong accounts, being deposited to accounts with different FEIN numbers, or just simply never being deposited. We have been trying to get a $800 deposit back since October of 2022. Multiple reps have said they can't deposit the funds into the new account because the FEIN numbers don't match (but they do). This check has been in the mail now for 6 months. Recently, we submitted a request to increase an accounts deposit limit and it was denied because the rep said that account was on a "funding hold" This make no logical sense since the account already took in $20K that month and the request was to ask Buildium to hold more money on our behalf. We are looking into other options for our portfolio.

Closed 6 days for thanksgiving...crazy
The web site after logging in says, Customer Service is CLOSED from Wednesday, Nov 25 2020 to Monday the 29th. wow..... closed that many days and I pay an arm and a leg for the software! If you have a desperate accounting issue as I have and even called on the 24th, but to talk to someone that clearly was trying to wing it and figure out the problem in real time as I was, and asking questions that clearly proved this person had no idea how the software works. Clearly this rep on the phone knew nothing about banking, I get put on hold, then she comes back an wings it more, then put me on hold again and moments later at 4:45 pm I get cut off, did she call me back as Buildum used to....nope she did not. Buildium is going down hill, this used to be an excellent place and now....complete 100 degree the opposite. Search other products, I would not use Buildium.

Do not care about fair treatment. All they want is Money!
I have been a customer of Buildium for 5-6 years. I saw them grow. Today, once they are more stable and more successful as many people gave them their trust and loyalty, Buildium became a robot. Yes, A Robot, with no Human touch. You want to speak to someone, you need to pay extra. Otherwise, you simply create a ticket, and then you may wait for a reply for several days. For us, the Property Managers, who are committed to high service quality standards before out customers, this issue is really causing problems. Also, in July I prepaid Buildium services for 300 units. Actually for both Buildium and HappyCo. With all Covid 19, my business lost units, and I asked to return some money for unused units. They replied that I need to downgrade. I went ahead and downgraded, no refund is offered. They they replied that they will process a refund. After, they said they will not give me anything :( This is a very sad to see a company with heart going to this low and take advantage of loyal people who once gave them their business and trust, which helped them to grow.

Property Manager Uses It, I Do Not Like It
Our property manager uses this software and it is not very good. Putting photos in the community discussions is not easy and the result is not good. The photos get cut off sometimes, other times the aspect ratio changes so the photo is stretched or shrunk. The billing statements online are confusing. Access from a mobile device is very difficult.

I've been a Buildium customer for 3 years, don't make my mistake
I've been a Buildium customer for almost 3 years now. I have to say without reservation, their software is extremely hard to understand and use. I'm a 25-year veteran as a software development executive, I can say their design and user experience is far from what you will be accustomed to in any other task, project, or accounting software.
It was designed by property managers, and that shows through in every aspect of usability and UX/UI conventions. Not to mention it is remarkably slower than any of the other 25 SaaS apps I use on a daily basis, and I spend 2 hours waiting on their software to load, for work that should only take me 90 minutes if I didn't have to constantly wait on Buildium.
Most recently, we are now to the point of considering the sizable effort to move to another solution. Their customer support for extremely critical and high dollar technical issues has been abysmal. The latest issue is inexcusable and involved an ACH rent payment of $838 dollars.
It took them more than 80 days to respond and resolve a "pending transfer" that held the tenant's money in limbo. Only to find out the issues was resolved by simply having their processor Forte push the authorization through to capture. That could have been done in 48-72 hours after the support request was submitted.
I would seriously consider other more modern and reliable Property Management solutions before considering Buildium.
