I made a huge mistake coming to Buildium and unfortunately I'm already set up in a little late to switch for now but cannot wait to get out of the system and into a new system that works more efficiently. Not sure what upgrades it's what they're calling upgrades it's a major downgrade for my previous usage of buildium. I had previous experience with a system and used to think it was pretty similar to have polio just did not have the additional flow and features however whatever they did to upgrade just made it worse there's so many glitches in the system for a product that cost $250 a month they definitely do not meet or are even worth that amount tenants have a difficult time in the portal their mobile site is not mobile friendly at all. Please think twice and check out different competitors so far sadly even though they're the highest cost Julio has been able to have the most features although I hate their customer service so definitely would love to see an option that has the flowability and features and ease of use about folio with an actual customer service team that answers their phone. Building promise this none of it has given apart and wasted the first two months of service that I was not operational waiting for Bank approval

Buildium was able to give us special pricing as we were in between them and another company. We were able to get the special pricing by having 2 accounts and Athena assured us this was how we could have that price. After a couple of months, we noticed we were getting billed twice for 2 accounts. We reached out and the manager sent us a link to cancel the accounts. We showed email chains showing that they said they would give us a set price for having an account with them. The manager then stated they had a no refund policy.

If I could give a BIG FAT ZERO I would. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Several things to start logging in was an issue. I had to always ask for a link to be emailed to me. Communication is NOT CLEAR with them straight out of the jump. When I started trying to input all my clients homes, I got locked out of the account and since property management is 24/7. Buildout is NOT. I was a preferred client buying the most expensive package from them yet when I needed customer care I got nothing. Monday rolled around and then Tuesday still yet NO ONE called me back or emailed me back through the ticket issue center. At that time I decided I was not going to waste my time or money if I could not get the support I needed especially in the very beginning of set up. I told the sales guy who signed me up that I was done at this point given all the previous issues I had thus far and I haven’t even started using the software yet. He told me along with someone from the ticketing center where they resolve your issues that I had to log in to cancel my membership. However, no one could help me log back in to do that after multiple attempts. A few weeks later I get a message stating that I need to update my payment method in order to log in and cancel my membership. I have emailed them over 10x requesting a cancellation with no replies or confirmation or help assisting me to do that. I do not trust this company’s values. Even if you no longer want to do business with someone it’s ethical to end things properly. After no attempts to get anywhere to log in…I called and blocked payment from my bank. I still have not heard a word from anyone. I will never RECOMMEND this company. Not for its software (because I have no knowledge of its functions other than the logging in issues but it’s limited hours of resources and how no one addressed my issues and when someone finally got back with my regarding the log in issues it was the sales guy who could not help me or at least he deferred me back to the ticket center. It was 6 days later after my ticket that someone responded. In property management…that is unacceptable.

Since implementing Buildium with my property management company it has been nothing but problems. The application and screening feature does not work. Customer service is slow and unreliable. When trying to work through why the application and screening process do not work, once it was obvious it was not a quick-fix, our support ticket was completely dropped and they stopped answering emails. We have to continue to screen tenants through a third-party website. Rental payments are unreliable. They advertise that you will receive rental payments "next-day". This is incorrect. AFTER signing up for their software, we were informed that Buildium fronts the payments. It takes 5 business days to leave the tenant's bank account, leading to many reversed/bounced payments. Bank feed no longer works. This is a current issue. It has been 2 weeks since this issue was raised, but has not worked for over a month. Still no progress from customer support. This is important because they advertise auto reconciliation, but having to manually reconcile books once again. This is an expensive application. Zillow is free and the features and customer support is so much better.

This issue has occurred with multiple move-ins. The application process goes smoothly, I am able to enter financial charges to collect a security payment. However, immediately after clicking "Move-In" and beginning e-signature documents, the applicant is no longer searchable and can't sign into their resident center account making it impossible to sign lease documents and complete payments

I signed up for Buildium primarily because of its ePay feature, which is essential for managing my rental properties. Unfortunately, my ePay application was delayed for an extended period and was ultimately declined. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication. I reached out to support multiple times, but responses took so long that I continued paying for a second month while waiting for an update. Had I been informed promptly that my application had been declined, I would have canceled my subscription immediately. I requested a refund for the second month since the delay in communication was outside of my control, but my request was denied based on their policy. I even offered to pay for the first month and only asked for a refund of the second month, which I believe was a reasonable compromise. Without ePay, Buildium did not meet my business needs, so I ended up paying for a service I couldn’t use as intended. The platform itself may work for some users, but my experience with customer support, communication, and billing was extremely disappointing. I hope Buildium improves its communication and treats customers more fairly in situations like this.

Absolutely hate this. From time to time I'll have my card locked because there has been fraudulent charges on my card. There has been several times that it was locked in the payment didn't go through. And it doesn't even give you an option to pay it. So you're left with a negative mark on your credit. I'll try to reach out and no reply. This Buildium is a BS scam it in my eyes. I REGRET EVEN SIGNING UP. Trying to make right steps in my life and make my credit better all while you guys knocking me down. Absolutely hate you guys and don't deserve to have a platform to advertise. For those who read this if you see this don't do it they will screw you over!

Cannot log in, no customer support unless you can log in to contact them really!!!!!!!! Fix this aspect or get more reviews like this
