These guys don't seem to have their act together. Wrote them an email asking for a quote - no response. Called them, was promised a quote - and nothing. Probably a sign that you don't really wanna deal with this company.

Ignore the negative reviews that are for a different company. I rarely review companies but the folks in Illinois at builderswarehouse.com are having some bad luck with mistaken reviewers. They shipped my orders fast and everything went smoothly in the ordering process. I almost didn't order initially after seeing the negative reviews, but do some due diligence and order from them.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I'm trying to reach someone in a managerial position to complain about the appalling poor service at this store. There are several complaints in the reviews and I see that the star rating is ONE, but nobody is taking any notice. I bought two big bags of compost and potting soil and when I asked if someone can help me to get it to my car I was referred to the security lady at the door! There were no other staff to be seen. When you look down the alleys, the staff is standing around busy with their cellphones. This is not the first time. I cannot recall walking out of that store once without feeling disgruntled about the poor service from the staff. I think it is time to splash this in the local newspaper and see what reaction I get from other customers. You will have to react on this! I also want a direct response and I don't want an apology. I want personal confirmation that you have received this complaint and that you are going to react. Dalien Kruger 082 464 4674

I've been struggling for at least a year to get my Builders Warehouse card updated with new details. A week ago, in the store, I spoke to Bonisiwe Dladla, Information Clerk– BWH Rivonia. It is because of her relentless following up with the head office and getting her manager to step in that enabled something miraculous to happen; the details have been updated on my card! She also notified me of the progress or lack thereof and communicated that she was still working on solving my problem. Thank you Bonisiwe.
