The chair hinders the rest of the family access the stairs. Wish the chair would have rested more in the centre of the landing giving a clearer path for the others in the house

I am a 6'7", 71 year old male, that weighs about 300 Lbs. I have a bad tendency of falling down the stairs to our basement (have done it twice). Our family Doctor had requested that I don't go to the basement, but all my hobbies are in the basement, (Computers, 3D Printer, Electronics). I started researching some way to safely go downstairs. My research covered an Elevator or Stair Lift. I based my decision on Bruno from reading reviews, the marketing of the products and who could perform the installation. My Bruno Elite Stair Lift was installed about 2 months ago, by Bruno Trained Installers (the only ones authorized to install it) that completed the installation in several hours. Since there is 1 90 degree turn on the stairs the installation was a custom installation. The Chair itself is comfortable, but being a big man I am a little cramped and have to position myself with my legs to the left side of the seat to travel up and down. The problem with the Stair Lift is my height, long legs and big feet (size 15 shoe), as stated above I position my legs to the left of the seat because my knees would rub against the opposite wall while traveling up and down. The Folding Footrest is too small for me, I can only fit one foot on the footrest, the other is partially on, but I am bigger than most. Overall the Bruno Elite Stair Lift operates superbly and is comfortable, quiet ride up and down the stairs. The stair lift servers the purpose I purchased it for to safely get down the stairs to my basement. My Doctor is satisfied.

The chair takes up little room on my steps, this is good as we sometimes walk up or down. The insulation was clean and was in and out in a couple hours. I find the track joint is not matched and gives a good bump when passing. Service is coming back and I will discuss this with them. The unit fold well to the wall leaving plenty of space for foot traffic and it is very quite. Overall I am pleased with my Bruno chair

The chairlift juts out into my living room. There is a piece that can be moved to open up the area. This piece may be rather hard to move for some people. Otherwise the chairlift is fine. It moves slowly but it probably has to

Only one hang up . . . all else GREAT. Twice stops halfway down stairs. Probably operator error! Fiddle with footrest and feet and the 'chariot' continues on down to the bottom. Thanks. This device is worth the price. I consider the price to be reasonable, even with the added cost of an electrician.
