The chair is not comfortable
Paul
Everything went very well with installation and purchase. Seems to be some issues with chair operating but will call for service.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and responsive. The technicians who installed it were very friendly and did a great job. It works well and looks sleek! The pricing is comparable to others but still a bit steep. Praying it keeps going for a long time!

It is more awkward to get onto and turn and noisier than expected. It serves the purpose. We asked to have it installed with both handrails left in place. That was a mistake on our part that I wish I could undo. Between that and the fold up rail at the bottom, I think we sacrificed too much stair width for others who opt to use the steps. The stair lift serves the purpose well for which it was purchased.

Mobility 101 did a great job of showing up on time and installing the product. The product works as advertised and we are pleased with that. It moves smoothly, quietly, and easily. The negative for us is that the stair configuration required the railing to be offset from the wall further than we thought it would be so it takes up quite a bit more space than we had expected. We have to be careful with our knees so they don't bang against the door facing when sitting on the chair at the top of the stairs. I wish there was a way to remedy this without tearing out the whole door opening. I think it will still work out for us but it isn't optimal.

The stairlift works as advertised (through two months). There was substantial lead time on the order, but worth the wait. One thing is annoying though. When turned 90 degrees so the user can sit in it safely, the chair emits an intermittent but unending beep. Since our particular user takes quite some time to reach the seat, the beeping usually becomes quite irritating. Being able to disable that beeping would be an improvement.

The installation was quick and clean. My wife swore she would never use "that thing" but goes up and down several times a day. The fact that the internal battery will continue for a couple of days in case of a power outage is nice too. In our case, it was fortunate that the stairs were fairly wide to begin with. Foot traffic on the stairs is not impeded.

We rated our chair lift at a 4 because we are experiencing a hesitation with the lift going up. We’re not sure if it is a problem with the lift itself or the remote control. If we release the toggle on the arm and then engage it again, it will then move. The problem is intermittent.
