We're very happy with Brilliant Grades! Our tutor Chris is a great teacher and very patient and helpful with my son. I've seen progress already and my son feels empowered to continue trying to excel.

We've been with Brilliant Grades since June. Both our English and math tutors are very high caliber -solid instructors but also nice people. They are offering Kevin a lot of academic support. But they are also good roles models for him. I like that he connects with 2 high quality people each week. So they are his instructors as well as his mentors.

We signed up with Brilliant Grades a month ago. Everything has gone smoothly. Our tutor is knowledgeable and pleasant and always on time. For the time being Sarah, my daughter, is happy and feels engaged and motivated.

Our daughter is completing her first year at Brilliant Grades. The curriculum is very thoughtful and intrinsically motivating. It allows for academic, social and emotional growth. The administration works in collaboration with parents to fine-tune the learning path of each student and align with their needs. I think, that the key to the school’s success is engaging students to see how they fit into the world. Instead of the conventional top-down, one-size-fits-all model, the students are met where they are with everything they bring to the table, their strengths and their weaknesses.

I tried this service to assist with my son falling behind during Covid -19 homeschooling. Initially my sons tutor Harper, put him at ease and seemed to be an asset to him being brought up to speed. However with her ultimately deciding to quit midway thru his sessions I should have seen the demise of this partnership. The next tutor Alana never seemed to fill the void that was left and a few sessions had to be rescheduled and not not received due to the unavailability of his tutors. In attempting to get a refund I was met with a run around and still to date a credit owed that was never paid out. This company does not honor their commitment to its customers and if this helps to make your decision to not choose this service, I’m happy I went thru the horror for you. Beware you’re not getting the service they suggest. Rather second hand video babysitting at cost. Would not recommend this company. UPDATE: After months of attempting to contact this company to broker my refund with no luck, once my review posted I received this as a response - Hi Tremayne, I read your review about Brilliant Grades. As you can see from our other reviews, our rack record is impeccable. Your review stands out as the only negative experience with Brilliant Grades so far. We strive for 100% satisfaction for all our families. So I'm very disappointed about how things ended. That said, I feel your review presents an unfair portrayal of how things transpired. Regards, Claudia I want a refund for services not rendered when tutors were unable to keep scheduled sessions and after not wanting to have yet another tutor fill in for tutors after they decide to quit this company. Harper left for a reason which she shared with my son and when she was unable to keep an appointment lies were told in the form of family emergency to cover her no longer working for them. A simple refund would have kept my opinion silent however a few sessions reimbursement was too much for this struggling company to part with I guess. Good luck with a rebuttal. Glad you’ve admitted sessions are owed and you have yet to reimburse me my fees. I can now pursue action in small claims court. The money was never the issue. I paid for services well in advance of fees owed. Mid stream to have my son switch once was bad enough but to ask to switch so far into to sessions again is not the way to tap in to a child’s trust of a tutor. Harper QUIT not to ever work for your company again and Alana was the best we had to accept under the circumstances of Harpers exit. By far she did not relate to my son on the same level as Harper. And then to present an ask to have yet another tutor step in with so few sessions left was far more than I planned to put my son thru. So yes I want a refund for the 3 sessions he did not receive from this crappy service you’re pushing as GREAT! I think not! I don’t want free sessions I want reimbursement for services not rendered. Do that instead of answering me only because I offered a negative review for your service.

The BG community is very warm and welcoming! Attending the online school is wonderful for my child. I'm very happy we’ve had the chance to join. The teachers and success coaches are super helpful, and there are plenty of electives to be a part of outside of online class!

My daughter has joined Brilliant Grades a year ago. Not only did the school treat my child with great compassion and respect, but they also held my hand. They created a student who is tenacious and curious, who embodies grit and resilience. The school, I am sure was the single best decision I have made for my son and his future. I feel confident BG is helping him develop the skills and mindset he need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

When selecting a school for my child, I was looking for a school that will make my child feel confident, challenge his ability and curiosity, and make him feel safe and secure. Since our orientation, Brilliant Grades has exceeded my expectations of what I'm looking for in a school, because it cares about the students and families that go there. I've been impressed with all the programs that are offered, the extra level of care and attention that is provided. Our child is building upon a strong foundation. I am confident BG has provided him with the tools to becoming a free thinking, kindhearted child that will have the characteristics instilled in him for success in the future.
