My true assessment of this company is ZERO stars! I booked hotel accommodation on 19th May, at the Royal Hotel, Kirkby Lonsdale, for one night on 12th June. On arrival, I was informed that there was no booking in my name. Fortunately, there was availability, but I had to pay again. I have yet to receive any response from the company trip manager, despite sending several messages.American Express have put my payment on hold, whilst they look into the matter.
My advice, STEER WELL CLEAR!

Google listed their price
Google listed their price. Once you click, break almost always ends up with much higher price. Happened 4 different times. One time could be genuine but not 4 times. Bait and switch operator. Avoid like a plague

Hi Ashok, we're sorry to hear about your experience. Prices may change based on availability and supplier updates, so the final price can sometimes differ from an earlier displayed price. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague! Horrible. Poor customer service. Basically a scam. I got nothing I asked for and had to pay for it. Maybe a refund in 72 hours, maybe when their service departments communicate with the sales departments and get the verification from the management department MAYBE you'll get a refund for something you didn't want.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. They are very deceptive. They debited money from my account and then immediately said the room was no longer available. I called and they were no help. They just stated that they were sorry they took money out of my account for a room that was not available and I would have to deal with my bank about getting a refund meanwhile I'm out the money and their is nothing they can do about it. They are advertising low rates on rooms that are not available only to take money from trusting. I really don't know how they are allowed to operate under such deceptive business practices. Stay away from BREK at all cost.

Do not use BREK to book your stay
We have booked with this third party several times and have spent thousands of dollars. We understand their policies.
We recently booked an overnight stay at Hilton Westshore through BREK.
To say the least it was not a good experience, the air conditioner did not work. Someone came to look at it before we left for our concert and supposedly did something. We get back hours later and it’s 80 degrees in our room. We called the front desk the hotel staff said they would approve for our room to be refunded but to please contact the third party first. I contacted BREK several times with emails and names and no response. Absolutely nothing; not a I’m sorry for your bad experience or anything. What is the point of having phone number and email to reach out to and no one responds?
I will never book through Brek ever again. I will go straight through the hotel and never through a third party again.

Hi Chrissy, we’re sorry for the frustration this caused. Our team did attempt to follow up with the hotel at the time, but we were unable to reach the appropriate manager or receive the confirmation needed to proceed further. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback.

Absolutely worst experience.
Absolutely worst experience.
I booked a hotel and a few minutes later I received a call saying my hotel booking was cancelled due to the room being unavailable however I double checked multiple times and refreshed and the room still shows that it is available and now I won’t get my refund for 3-5 working days. Ridiculous this company is so unprofessional and not to be trusted DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!
Response from BrekJun 11, 2026
Hi Asmahan,
We’re very sorry for your experience.
We looked into this case and can confirm that, at the time, the room was no longer available. Hotel availability can change very quickly, and in rare cases this can happen.
As soon as we confirmed the issue, we initiated your refund immediately. The remaining timing depends on your bank’s processing speed, so it may take a few business days for the funds to appear in your account.
We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and frustration this caused.

Google Search Trapped Me Here: Weaker Security Guardrails & Phishing Scam Follow-up
Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star)
I ended up on Brek.com because it was suggested at the very top of Google Hotel Search with a deceptively low price bait.
Consumers need to know that Google does not vet these sites for safety; they just sell the top listing to the highest bidder.
Once I tried to book, my bank (Chase) immediately flagged the transaction as a fraud alert and blocked the payment.
Immediately after using this platform, my phone number was flooded with automated Stripe Link verification codes, followed by a aggressive phone call from a scammer trying to trick me into reading the codes back to them to hijack my financial profiles.
To make matters worse, Brek.com gives you no option to delete your account or edit your phone number from your dashboard.
Their "Contact Support" link forces you to send a direct personal SMS text from your mobile phone to a random number instead of using a secure, onsite chat window. This platform has weak security standards, lacks basic data privacy features, and exposes travelers to immense phishing risks.
Avoid this site completely and book directly with the hotels!
UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO BREK'S REPLY:
Brek claims they cannot find a "legitimate customer record."
As stated clearly above, my financial institution (Chase Bank) instantly flagged Brek.com as a high-risk fraud threat and blocked the payment entirely.
No booking record exists precisely because my bank successfully protected my funds from this platform.
Furthermore, the company completely evades the core security concern: the immediate, real-time exploitation of the phone number entered into their site.
Deflecting by stating "Stripe is legitimate" misses the point entirely. The issue is that utilizing this platform triggered a flood of verification codes followed by an active, aggressive phone phishing attempt to hijack financial profiles.
Potential travelers should take note of this defensive corporate response: rather than investigating how user data entered on their site is being instantly weaponized by scammers, they choose to dispute the consumer's accuracy.
Avoid this site.
FINAL UPDATE FOR POTENTIAL TRAVELERS:
Brek’s ongoing denial relies on the assumption that consumers do not understand how real-time data exploitation works.
Brek.com was the only platform where I had initiated a transaction utilizing a Stripe payment flow.
The exact phone number entered into their interface was hit with unauthorized Stripe Link verification codes and a targeted phishing call later attempting to use their site.
Scammers obtained the phone number and the exact timing of the transaction directly from the interaction with Brek.com—whether through a malicious script, a data leak, or compromised API traffic on their platform.
The company can continue to issue defensive PR statements claiming "no connection," but the sequence of events are impossible to ignore.
My bank (Chase) recognized the threat instantly and blocked the funds.
Listen to the financial institutions, ignore this company's boilerplate denials, and book elsewhere.

Hi Farhan,
We want to be clear that we do not share customer phone numbers with third parties. Phone numbers are used only for legitimate booking-related purposes, including confirmation SMS and urgent reservation support.
Brek has served many satisfied customers, including repeat travelers who have successfully used our platform for multiple hotel bookings and continue to rely on us for their travel needs.
We are sorry to hear about the scam experience you described. However, we strongly dispute any suggestion that it was caused by or connected to our platform.

Brek was absolutely useless
Brek was absolutely useless, from minute 1, I had problems.
My card wouldn't work in my door, front desk was extremely rude, cursing, blaming me.
Threatened to call police on me after I was locked out of my room 3rd time with no shoes on.
Front desk beating on my door 930am-1030am next morning, asking if im checking out.
I answer at 1030, tell them yes, but I've got 30 mins til checkout. I go to close my door of my room, front desk lady attacks me, pushes door and has to be restrained by guy with her.
This is above the nasty room, the rat poop, and leftover food in room..Brek did nothing, simply because hotel denied it.
Brek was sent pics and details of all

Hi Rachel, we’re very sorry to hear about your experience. Our team contacted the hotel directly to investigate the room condition, key card issue, and front desk interaction you reported. The property provided a different account of the situation, so we are continuing to review the details carefully rather than relying on one side only.
Please reply to our support email with any photos or additional documentation, and our team will continue working with you directly.
