I have purchased several canes from Brazos and have been very happy. There was a BOGO sale on 48 inch walking sticks. I recently had major back surgery and was using an old walking stick I cut down to 48 inches. I thought having a few more would not be a bad idea. The walking sticks were finished well but they were very thin and the leather loop was small. Since I have peripheral neuropathy these are difficult to hold. I thought they would be a bit thicker. Please understand everything is well made but a better description as to circumference would have helped.

I ordered the iron bamboo walking stick in red stained finish. It arrived in good order and is a nice lightweight stick. However, there is no traditional Brazos medallion affixed to the stick, so it isn't identified as an authentic Brazos manufactured item, very disappointing! An important part of owning a Brazos stick is the medallion, like a hood ornament on a classic car! PS: Can you please send me a Brazos medallion to affix to my stick?

The walking sticks I bought are great... But their website was not functioning properly, and wouldn't process my order at first; then when it finally did, it had raised the price of one of the sticks by $8, and neglected to give me the 10% discount for signing up for the newsletter, as promised. Eventually I was able to convince the help people to return the 10%, but they never took off the extra $8 charge. Plus, instead of taking five minutes, I spent several hours trying to figure out what was wrong and how to solve it. Hopefully when I go on nice hikes with my walking stick (and the family members I gifted with the two other sticks) I will forget about this unpleasant experience.

The custom walking stick is as advertised and appears to be very nice and very sturdy. The low rating is due to the poor communication regarding the order which was initially lost by the courier. There was no response to multiple emails and there is no phone number with which to speak to anyone at the shop.

Actually I would rate more like a 3.5 star almost a 4. The ordering experience was not good as they have no customer service line to call after an order is processed should you need to make an immediate change/correction. They only have email which is answered the next day which is too late to adjust an incorrect order and their response is there is nothing they can do at that point and you will still receive the original order at full charge. Moral of the story is know "exactly" what you want for the type of person you are buying for old or young. As a result I received the incorrect order and the new order I processed immediately after to make sure it made it by XMas. The quality of the product is excellent so far and well loved by the recipient. I would order again, but would make absolutely certain what is the best height and weight of the stick based on planned use and other comments.

I have used a Brazos walking stick for 4 years! I was in Walmart one day and I had my stick in my shopping cart and hit an end cap and it shattered. I depend on a walking stick as I have Parkinson’s disease. When I got home I ordered a new one right away that night, I paid extra for overnight shipping,It’s still took five days to get my stick! Love my new stick but not thrilled about the shipping .
