this is the 5th cane I have purchased from Brazos Walking Sticks and the only thing wrong was the rubber lost the pin that secures it to the cane. From the looks of the tip of the cane it was not the usual round pin, it was a piece of flat metal as there are 2 slots in the wood where usually there is a round hole from a metal pin.

I have a walking stick already, it was getting a bit nicked up so I wanted a replacement for aesthetics. Unfortunately, once the staff arrived, though I was impressed by it aesthetically, it had no girth. I’d really like a thicker walking stick.

The photo on the website showed my selection in darker wood with smaller knots, really almost a burl. I know all sticks are made from wood that varies somewhat but this one is quite lovely so it's a keeper. Also, it seems very sturdy, and the rubber "foot" will keep it steady on rocks. The only problem is...how to wrap it since it's a gift!

The stick is great as expected. The engraving was disappointing. The font style was hard to read and letters are run together. Going to figure out how to cover engraving somehow before I use it.

Postage was more than the product....

The hickory walking stick is very light-weight, which is great for my petite (older) wife. The brass tip is a must for walking on ice, wood chips, etc. But the compass was definitely an unnecessary feature, and if I ordered it again, I would omit it. It's very cheap, and cheapens the walking stick.

Comfortable in my hand, good quality, nice smoothness. Taking me a bit to gain my balance while using, maybe a little tall. Hand loop could be a little wider.

The walking stick is lovely. The only hiccup is that it was supposed to be personalized with "Action Jackson " and it was not.
