Brainscape - Smarter FlashcardsReviews of brainscape.com

I love this app! It is incredibly helpful, especially trying to learn biomed as a “mature student.” My son introduced me to digital flashcards - who knew?! Not me! And I chose Brainscape - so glad I did. There are so many aspects to the app that I’m still learning. I’ve recently created my own flashcards from my notes using AI. What a time-saver!! I’ve also watched several helpful videos. I also appreciate that I can jump into it from my phone and iPad - makes it easy to do quick study sessions. Thank you for creating this app!

Really good flashcards app. I love the spaced repetition feature.

Great flashcard system, when I researched flashcards I had to choose between Brainscape and Anki. I am really happy in going with Brainscape, been using it have several years now and works great.

I learn faster through repetition, and Brainscape's use of spaced repetition is best for me. I used it for years to learn new computer languages quickly, like Terraform, but I am now learning the complex Thai language.

Brainscape has helped me for 2 years learning Portuguese. The ability to pick up on different devices depending on where I am is aces. The customization is also great, as are the standard courses. The only thing I haven't liked is the lack of predictability. Sometimes I'll be at 75% on a deck on my iPad but when I start up the same deck on my phone, it'll go back to 50% (or something). Not a huge problem, and compared to the many features not a particularly important one. I use this app more or less every day and if you are trying to learn something new (especially language) it's a great, cost-effective tool.

I teach Latin and Greek in college; over the years I have learned how to create vocabulary cards for specific ancient texts and post them in Brainscape files. I have always been a huge believer in vocabulary cards (I probably wouldn't have made it through college without them) and giving students easy access on their phones and computers can be an enormous benefit. Lately I have even added quick grammatical reviews. I also have created files to support particular Latin 1 and Greek 1 textbooks. Students don't always take advantage of what should be a great resource, but some of them certainly do. I once teased students waiting to get into class that "they should get off their phones and talk to each other" and they all showed me that they were doing their vocabulary on Brainscape. I have found Brainscape very easy to use; the real learning curve was learning how to save files in a way that let me load them into Brainscape. But the loading itself is easy.

I have been using the app for several months now. I use it to learn Spanish. I create my own flashcards for my own use. I study from other sources but put all the useful words and phrases into Brainscape. I then review them daily as a means of revision and reinforcement of what I am learning. It keeps me real and helps me understand weaknesses and strengths in my language journey. It is a great tool for revision that I use every day. Love it! Thank you to the team that make this possible. Oh, and thanks to Thea Beckman for your hilarious and motivational emails.

Excellent app for anki style review, the estimated hours fir completion of a subject is also beneficial
