The platform helps me practice important skills for the market in a fun way

I like Boot.dev. It: - challenges me - helps me via integrated Boots AI chat when I get stuck - rewards me constantly - is structured and fun - keeps me motivated because its lessons are just short enough to hold in my head (most of the time) I spent well over 100 hours watching videos on realpython.com last fall, then forgot everything. While the content is excellent, watching videos simply isn't enough. Boot.dev, above all else, prioritizes practice and actually applying the coding principles you learn. That's why it wins. It's not perfect. What is? But there's a huge Discord community around it and it improves constantly, adding more content, features and ideas. I would recommend it to any friend of mine wanting to learn to code.

Boot.dev rekindled my passion for programming and introduced me to backend subjects in a beginner friendly way. I have completed most of their courses and earned my archmage coin which they do send you in the mail. They are adding new content all the time and the site has become a daily hobby. I really appreciate their interview challenges. I had a programming background when I started, but I had never learned most of the backend plumbing at my job and boot.dev gave me the soft introduction I needed to spark my interest in learning again. It is well worth the cost if you can devote 1 hour or more per day to teaching yourself programming.

The experience has been great so far, I started my programming journey a few back and I wish had knew about boot.dev back then. Nevertheless am glad I was to invest my time in the platform cause it worth it!

After finishing the bootcamp, I got a job because I got to learn how to become a Backend Engineer. Bonus points because they wanted someone with Golang, and that's the path I took in the bootcamp, boot.dev had made a huge impact in all my interviews!
