Book of the MonthReviews of bookofthemonth.com

Great selection of books! Customer service is awesome and the prices for hard cover books can not be beat!!

Book of the Month is absolutely amazing! Not only am I able to feed my book and reading addiction at an amazing price, but the customer service and staff are absolutely amazing! I am honored to be a bff and I have no intention of ever ending my subscription.

I really like BOTM. The shipments are really fast, and normally they have something that interests me. They also encourage me to read a larger variety of books. It’s a really fun and rewarding subscription. The prices are normally a little less than buying a hardcover at a book store.

Book of the Month has helped me discover new authors, offering a curated monthly selection that consistently pushes me beyond my literary comfort zone. The service's thoughtful curation has introduced me to gems like The Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love by India Holton and countless other fresh perspectives, making each month's selection feel like an invitation to explore new literary territory. It’s a worthwhile investment for readers eager to expand their literary horizons.

The books selection is pretty varied, although I feel it leans towards trendy/girl power over strong writing and stories. I’ve had to be incredibly choosey in order to ensure I’m getting books that aren’t juvenile levels of writing. A few years ago I rarely skipped months, the past 2-3 years I’ve skipped at least 3 months per year. I’ve lost trust that the books I’m getting are well written and not just “girl power for the sake of girl power” I dislike the challenge and how it’s 15 books. It requires you to buy add ons in addition to the monthly cost. And if you ever skip a month, you’re basically out of the challenge. I don’t mind the extra categories, but that on top of 15 books is outrageous. Especially if you’ve got other books to read. Overall, it’s fine. There are some good books, but it’s definitely gone downhill in recent years (I’ve been a member since 2018).

This is a great company. I have been a member of Book of the Month for years now. Whenever I have a question about my account or should an issue arise, they are quick to respond.

I really like having a book of the month subscription. There is a great selection of books to choose from and I love the yearly book challenges. You also get a free book in your birthday month a a free book of the year pick. The customer service is always great is you need it for anything.

Ease of making a monthly selection or skip the month. Great selection of available books/titles. Fantastic price.
