I found Book of the Month a few years ago and it has brought me so much enjoyment! It came along with a bookish community, helps me read and enjoy books outside of my genres, helps me discover new authors and stay current on new releases!

A business that relies on dishonest scam tactics to get a profit. When you sign up they hide a clause in the fine print that says you have to renew twice. They can't manage to sell a profit enough people even want they rely on scamming people out of their money. I've sent in five emails now and they don't even forward them to a human. They just say they're busy and then send you a survey "how was our customer service??" A little pathetic tbh. Business model and customer service need some SERIOUS help bc this a pretty bad look.

Hi Ben, Thank you for trying out Book of the Month and sharing your review. Some of our enrollment offers include a commitment to renew. This information is clearly disclosed during the enrollment process, but we understand that you may not have seen it. If BOTM isn’t right for you, you are free to cancel online at any time once the renewal commitment is fulfilled. Our Member Services team will always get back to you as soon as possible, but during busier times we do have the automated message to give you a confirmation while we work through the queue. It looks like we got back to you and canceled your account already. We really appreciate your feedback and thank you again for giving us a try.

I have problems with my eyesight which affects my reading. I have had 5 surgical procedures on my eyes. I am a senior. My subscription was closed. I contacted BOTM, and they were very considerate. They reinstated my gift subscription.

So far I am happy with my BOTM subscription. The only thing I am not a fan of is hardcover books. I find them harder to hold when reading and prefer only paperback books. I wish there was an option to choose paperback. I also didn’t realize the books would be special BOTM editions and they look a little cheap because of that.

Wonderful books to choose from! It’s so enjoyable to get to select a new book each month. My kids have given me my BOTM club membership for the past two Mothers’ Days and there truly is no better gift!

I LOVE BOTM CLUB! THE ONLY THING I WOULD SAY TO ADD TO IT IS BEING TO ADD BOOKS YOU DIDNT GET FROM BOTM. I WAS ABLE TO DO IT IN THE PAST BUT I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE BECAUSE I HAVE READ ALOT OF BOOKS THAT I WISH BOTM HAD. THE BOOKS ARE EVEN AUTHORS THEY HAVE CARRIED BEFORE BUT AREN'T CARRYING SEQUENCE BOOKS OR MORE BOOKS THEY HAVE WRITTEN.
