self published Memoir - first time published author
Over all my experience with Book Fuel was positive. This was my first time publishing and the process flowed until the end. When it came time to communicate when my book was up and available. I was not contacted that is was done and on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. I only found out because my husband got onto Amazon and found it by chance. I was disappointed because I wanted to officially announce the release, and have my own copy in hand before others! This was not the case. My husband bought a copy, and his came before Book Fuel sent mine to view. I felt that was not fair to me as the author. I did express my dis-satisfaction. I did get an apology, but it does not change the fact that others put their hands on my book before I got to view the final product. I was told that I would get my copy in the mail first and approve it before everything else went forward and that did not happen. would I recommend using Book Fuel? The answer is YES, overall it was a great experience and I would use them again. My book does look great, and is doing well on the market.
