First Experience
Good morning, I am writing to share my recent experience rather than leaving a negative public review. I made a reservation at Bonefish Grill for my son’s 16th birthday at 6:00 PM on April 9th. This would have been our first visit, and I had heard many great things about your restaurant. Prior to our reservation, I received a call from a manager, Rocco, who informed me that the restaurant was experiencing plumbing issues and did not have water, so they needed to cancel our reservation. I completely understand that unexpected situations happen and appreciated the notification. Fortunately, I was able to make last-minute arrangements elsewhere to celebrate my son’s birthday. However, when I later called back to confirm that the restaurant was still closed, I was surprised to learn that they had reopened. No one reached out to inform me that they were back in operation or to see if I still wished to come in. When I asked the employee why I hadn’t been contacted, there was no clear response. I also inquired whether anything could be offered for the inconvenience, given the special occasion, and was simply told to “tell him happy birthday” before the call ended. I found this interaction to be dismissive and discourteous. As someone who had high expectations based on what I’ve heard, this experience was disappointing. I wanted to bring this to your attention, so you are aware of how this situation was handled and the impression it left. Thank you for your time.
