Gladly! I applied for a loan with a company I thought was legit. They wanted to verify my account by sending a check to my account. They asked me to cash the check and to buy a gift card and send them the details. Afterwards , they would deposit my loan into my account. Well, something just didn’t sound right, and I called BOH to inform them. They told me It was a scam and although I never retrieved the bogus check and no damage was done because I had notified my bank immediately, BOH was suspending my online banking provileges because I had given out my Account number and online credentials. How was i supposed to know that. I was the one who reported. I have tried several times to get my online banking service returned, but they continue…….it’s been like 3 months now and I can’t do anything online. To check my account I have to go to an ATM or call customer service and that is just impossible. I have had 3 companies withdraw my application for a loan simply because I can’t link my bank for the sole purpose of verification. They have made it so that it appears I don’t even have an account. This has really hurt me in the area of advancement. I’m currently taking my business elsewhere because I sometimes have over five grand direct deposited into that bank and there only mission is to safeguard it. Taking away a persons online banking is a setback that has crippling effects. And to not reinstate them is the equivalent to having too much, way too much control over my finances. BOH wants me out? Fine, I’m out! Just look at all the bad reviews they receive. Something has to change. Listen to your consumers BOH. We are the ones that keep you afloat. Too many bad reviews! It is imperative that you make changes to both policy and personnel. It’s as if you’re making up protocols as you go and you’re allowing certain situations to dictate what’s best for you, then forget that this isn’t about you. Its about the consumer. Thumbs down to you BOH!!
