I have been a patient of Dr. Jeffrey Donahue with Body Logic for many years. He is extremely knowledgeable about Bio-identical Hormone Therapy and has done a great job of managing my care. I also appreciate that he is focused not just on hormone therapy but addressing whole body preventive health as well. He is quick to answer any questions or concerns when notified and his staff has been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend his practice.

I was looking for a physician that had…
I was looking for a physician that had knowledge of and could provide me with bio-identical hormone cream, after I had a complete hysterectomy (at 48 yrs.) and was faced with needing hormone replacement after the surgery. I have been very pleased with my physician, and with the pharmacy services and medications I’ve received through BodyLogicMD. They seem to stay current with medical research in the area of hormone replacement and other related needs. I highly recommend them.

BodyLogicMD in NJ was not good
BodyLogicMD in VA was good. In NJ however, the treatment was inconsistent and transactional. Patient first .... then business development please.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your experience in New Jersey was not the same as you experienced in Virginia. We firmly believe that your health is everything and healthcare should be patient-centric before business-centric. We will look into this and correct the inconsistencies that you experienced. Thank you again for your feedback because without it, we wouldn’t know what to improve upon.

This organization has a thorough understanding of hormone conditions. They're examination is very exacting. The care is extremely caring and evidence-based including alternative/holistic approaches. My adrenals were saved because of this organization.

Not the same.....
Out of my five years of using Body Logic, the last year or two have not been as pleasant an experience as at first. Visits seemed rushed through and impersonal. The cost of the office visit is ridiculous, as is the
phone appointment. The lab testing prices are very expensive, especially when it is out of pocket. It runs me approximately $1000 every 5-6 months. The doctor now would like patients seen every 4 months for pellet instead of the 5-6 month period.
It seems it has become more about money and that's too bad.
My Dr. is very good at what she does and I respect her for that.
I'm just not sure if these changes are across the board at Body Logic or if it is the individual office itself. Either way, I am in search of a different practice other than Body Logic. It really is too bad.

Thank you for sharing feedback. We are always working to improve processes, and your feedback helps us do just that. BodyLogicMD is not insurance based, so it operates a little different from a conventional doctor’s office. While you may be able to utilize your insurance for some of the requested lab tests, in most cases, out of pocket fees, do still apply. BodyLogicMD charges a processing fee any time testing is ordered – which is roughly 3-4 times a year. This processing and administration fee covers all of the back office work that is done related to your appointments and treatment. If you visit a BodyLogicMD practice, you may notice that the in-office staff is much smaller than a traditional medical practice, and that’s because the practitioner has a support team that operates remotely and handles all of the administrative work. Doing this allows the practitioner to spend more time with you and focus entirely on your care, and while some may view this as an extra fee, in reality, it helps keep the consultation fees low compared to other concierge practices.
Pellets typically last around 3-5 months before hormones are depleted but because everyone is different, this can vary by patient. Pellets release hormones into your system as needed by heart rate, so it is very possible that they don’t seem to last as long as before because you are more balanced and active as compared to when you started. However, depending on your situation and body chemistry, other factors may influence this behavior as well. Your practitioner should be able to provide you with more insight into your specific situation during your next consultation.
Again, we thank you for your feedback, we thank you for being a BodyLogicMD patient and we hope you continue on your wellness journey with BodyLogicMD.
