I used to use bodybuilding.com every day for my workout ideas and recipe tips. But since they made you pay to look at their programmes and basically anything on the site I refuse to go back. They've lost a lot of daily viewers because of this and really need to reconsider going back to the old ways. I no longer trust them as much now I know it's all about the money for them rather than to help the community

I used to be on bodybuilding every week, but now it's blatantly clear that the entire organization is just a money grab--no interest in helping educate people on fitness and help them reach their goals.

Misleading shipping timeframe, promised 3-5 it's going on 6-9, when contacting customer service they shifted blame on me unwilling to acknowledge fault. I'll just go to a local supplement store from now on and not get f'd in the a.

After becoming more able to afford protein supplements as part of my diet I have started looking into companies that sell these at reasonable prices - one of which is of course Bodybuilding.com. However, on all occasions up until now (2 so far) my payments had been declined as the system 'could not recognise my card'. Tried contacting via webchat to get them reinstate my orders and to say that I'll be happy to send them any sort of documentation to prove I'm the cardholder, but they told me they didn't have a system 'as advanced as the Order Verification Team'. And so I reached out to the latter. Waited 48+ hours and received a reply saying I have to wire the money to their JP Morgan Chase bank a/c, by which this transaction will bypass all types of internet anti-fraude mechanisms - to me this sounded more of a fraud than my actual credit card. Plus, we're talking about international wire transfer here. Not only do you not have a domestic customer service team (but then you have a massive warehouse in the UK), you also don't have a domestic bank account that deals with money coming from British customers! What a complete shambles - classic failure of a business model. They think their customers are airheads who spend all day at the gym. You do realise banks charge a hefty admin and Fx fees for international wire transfers right? Honestly, I tried giving money to you twice, but you wouldn't take it. So Amazon/MyProtein whatever it is next - it's me going.

I have bought from Bodybuilding.com for years (just a simple protein tub may be every 45 days), and I must say they know how to show appreciation of their customers. I ordered a protien tub in error, and was only looking for a sample, and "Shredded Scott" was awesome enough to refund and let me keep it. This type of gesture is what earns long-term retention. A customer shouldn't expect anything for free, but when something is done beyond the necessary norm, the impact goes a long way. Obviously, I'll be ordering again. But this time correctly...

Love the protein. Tastes good too
