This company is a scam!! As I read below, the same thing over and over. I was charged a $179 renewal fee without my knowledge. The AI generated response is they send out a renewal notice beforehand. The old email address has been deactivated that this notice supposedly went out to. They will not refund me my money. This is horrible how they are taking people’s money.

I purchased Body Lava to stream and could not access it, no matter what browser I used. I called and spoke with three people as I moved up the tech support chain. We were still in the same spot an hour and a half later, even though we used every browser and device. Ultimately, I was advised that it was best to ask for a refund and fill out the form. I did so and was informed that it would be a full refund and not to worry as there was a thirty day money-back guarantee. It has been less than one day. Well, I received an email from the billing department that they could access it, and we are all good. I was sent a photo of their screen. GUESS WHAT? I KNOW YOU CAN SEE IT ON YOUR SIDE, AS ALREADY DISCUSSED WITH THREE TECH SUPPORT EMPLOYEES. A HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY. STAY FAR AWAY!

I joined beach body team in August 2021. The yearly fee was more than I wanted to keep up with, I asked to have my account cancelled and believed there would be no more fees charged to my credit card. Well I just noticed that they charged me $242.95 last business day. I emailed and I called explaining my old credit card expired 11/23 and I cashed to have this account terminated back in 2021. At least refund the last charge as I have never used the app and I don’t understand how they were still putting through charges on an expired credit card. They refused. There was no manager for me to speak to, just a form to fill out requesting a refund, and guess what, I was denied. $242.95 is a lot of money and since it was just charged on the previous business day, they could have at least refunded me that one charge, but they refused. Their customer service is terrible and I wish I never even considered their app $1000 later.

I never auto renew and always discuss if I wish to renew & on what plan with my coach. Needless to say that I was surprised to be hit with a £179 bill last month without notice. I've had their 'cut & paste' response of 'BODi sends a prebill email approximately 30-days prior to the next scheduled renewal date to the email address on file.' but how funny that I never actually received it. I have a sea of emails from them which I always store in a folder but not the one that counts! I have asked them to send me a copy which is date & time stamped of when sent & 'read' so we'll see if they can manufacture something suitable. I've also asked for a copy of the call recording that evidences that I 'agreed to the auto-renew' of the membership so make sure anyone else stung like this does the same! It's totally not acceptable. I know I have been a member for years but the cost of living crisis means that this isn't a luxury that I can afford ..... but they are going to take the money anyway!! Disgraceful way to run a business, especially after years of loyalty. I will not be back given the sea of free workouts on YouTube which we have found to be far superior! Be aware! UPDATE - They have been unable to provide proof of the email that they supposedly sent me (with date & time stamps as requested), although they can tell me the day / time is was apparently 'read'. They have also been able to provide me a copy of the call where I apparently 'agreed to my plan auto renewing'. Total scam ...... customer service has dropped off a cliff. Sadly it never used to be like this. I suggest finding an alternative plan.

I had this program in 2021. It was fine but just a little pricey and I only used one program and they push their shake on you too hard. I cancelled it in 2021. Randomly in 2024 I had a $192 charge. I called for a refund and they refused. I looked at my bank account, there hasn’t been a charge since 2021 and the lady agreed with me until I said okay do you realize that was 3 years ago? Then all of a sudden “oh no you have a charge every year since then” if you have it, get a new debit card if you cancel it.

Terrible customer service when it came to trying to get a billing issue resolved. I wouldn’t ever renew my subscription with these people just based on that

Beach body is a RIP OFF! Back in September, I decided to cancel my services/my subscription and everything else because it just was not for me! Not even thinking about it I deleted the app and moved on with my life. I did receive an email and at the top of that email from September it said canceled subscription so I assumed that meant that I had canceled everything and was good to go! July of this year 2024 I receive a notification that $189 was deducted from my PayPal! I get on and check it out and what do you know it’s Beachbody so I called them and they proceeded to explain to me that I had never canceled my subscription and that they could not return my money, even though I’m not using the app and haven’t used the app since way back at the end of August of 2023, which I don’t understand because I’m not using your app, why you can’t return the money that you stole from my account at this point…. they don’t even send anything out that says they’re proceeding to take money out of your account. They can say they do but I never received a dang thing!!! They just do it. I get on and look at the email that I have and it does say subscription has been canceled at the top, but apparently they claim it was only for the products that I had been buying from them not the actual app… to top it off I tried to fight PayPal over it and Beachbody rebuttal was that I was using their app since 2023 which is a lie because I have not had it downloaded on my phone since September 2023… I just feel like at this point, how many people have they done this too! They now pocketed almost $200 From me for no services and nothing because I’m not going to get back on the app!!!

What a shame. An otherwise seemingly good company, with a really egregious cancelation and renewal policy. I canceled the day my subscription renewed. Not the next day. Literally the day of. That was too late according to their policy. Customer service was horrendously unhelpful. Refused to transfer me. Sent me the policy exception form which literally reads this: Your policy exception request has been received. "As a reminder, we hold our customers and our company to the terms and conditions that were agreed to at purchase and/or sign up. Please be warned that it is unlikely that an exception request will be granted when outside of our policy." That is incredibly ironic and insulting. They position their policy as if they're just upholding fairness when in reality they have this policy for one reason only: to take advantage of people. Shame on them. And look at this thread. You can count thousands of dollars being stolen from well meaning customers in just the past few days!!! And their response is just to say "our policy." Infuriating. Insulting. Irresponsible. Unethical.
