Sorry, however it was a waste of money for us. We did not know upfront that your services could not troubleshoot from a "shared server." If we had, we'd never contracted with Bobcares. Your staff was courteous, however could not proceed with our problems stating they could not reach the root server via a shared server.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback.
We understand your concern at not being able get the work complete with the existing privileges granted by your web hosting provider. Every web host is different. Some provide more access and some less. Unfortunately, your account's access levels were quite insufficient for us to be able to assist you effectively with troubleshooting. As soon as our team realized this, we immediately made you aware of this issue.
We have used only about 15 minutes from your credit balance. Please contact me at qm[at]bobcares.com and we can discuss your account balance and various options that are available.

Hired them to fix a VPS mysql issue…
Hired them to fix a VPS mysql issue with Magento 2 using up 375-400% of a 4-core CPU and maxing out the site so much with the cron jobs that the site was experiencing a lot of "Gateway Timeouts" and "503 Fetch" errors so people couldn't access the site...
They told me 2-3 hours to fix the issue... after 3 hours still not fixed and they're looking for more money to keep checking out more different options... You would think they'd have tried and tested these options already and have the issue fixed by now but no, might need to go somewhere else now... They're not cheap either, I've paid $250 so far for 3 hours server support and still not working properly, still getting "Gateway Timeout" errors on the M2 site.
EDIT: They turned out to be not so bad in the end and although they didn't fix the issue, afterwards I was led to the solution which involved Layered Navigation and SQL search queries from SEO bots as the main cause of SQL overuse on the server. So, to fix this issue, you could throw more server resources at it, but that wouldn't work either, it's just patching up the problem, like MS Windows bloatware lol
The solution was to change the product attributes from "Filterable with Results" to "No" for all product attributes that are not being used. You'll probably only ever notice this issue happening on a clothing store website because of all the product attributes clothing products use like Size, Colour, Fitting, Length, Waist Size etc.
But big thanks to BobCares for trying and maybe their MySQL settings changes could be worth keeping and using on the server as well but for now, the root cause was Magento 2 and Layered Navigation with too many product attributes set to "Filterable with Results" which caused SWL queries to be run by bots on the search form for every different product variable that exists because of certain unused attributes appearing the servers SQL Processes window (which nobody checked and I only found by accident with search queries like "catalog_search_tmp_37276284". Another thing to note is that we have 1400 configurable products with 54,000 Simple Products, that wasn't the problem, like you might expect... it was the product attributes.
Thanks to Bobcares for refunding my whole payment which I wasn't expecting so I'll return an hour of those funds as soon as they clear in my Paypal, they turned out ton be very fair in the end and I probably will try Bobcares again in the future if I get stuck. Thanks.

Hi Francis,
Sorry to hear that your experience with us was unsatisfactory. We're known for exceptional attention to detail, and anything less is not acceptable to us.
I see that you had given the team a very positive feedback, after the work was done by the team initially. The team did a server-wide MySQL optimization and also pointed out the user cronjobs that are eating up the resources.
Unfortunately, after 24 hours of giving positive feedback, you reported that the issue had recurred. As the 3 hours of service credits you purchased were already consumed and now knowing the issues were more complicated in nature, we requested you to purchase additional hours.
I understand that your concern is that the issue was taking more than 3 hours, as opposed to what our sales team initially conveyed during the estimation phase. As per the request, we reverted all the changes we made to the server and we are in the process of initiating the refund you requested. We do wish the outcome was more to your satisfaction, and hope you do have luck solving this issue.

lack of efficiency
Hi
it is true that the work is completed but the efficiency of your technical can be improved. working in multiple tasks causing the client had to wait in front of the ticket update long long time, and if I leave and come again I find en emails is waiting for an answer from client, by this I had paid for 2 hours for simple SSL installation.
I strongly beliee if we had effective communication we could have completed the work in the 1st hour.
In brief, if the technical guy keeps working on the ticket + immediate communication or Answer if needed can be improved far mor than now.

Hi Afif,
Thank you for trying our services and for your honest feedback. We agree that a simple SSL install should not take 2 hours. Our engineers usually perform SSL install and site configuration in less than an hour.
Unfortunately, in this case, we were hampered by a couple of issues on your server. Our IP was blocked from the server that prevented our team from accessing your server. When that was resolved, the website folder on which we were to install SSL was missing. Working with you to resolve these issues took additional time.
We do realize that when server work needs to be done, speed is of the essence. We do our best to get in there, understand the issue and solve it in as little time as possible. In many cases, our engineers are able to achieve the goal. In other cases, existing issues on the server prevent that from happening, and additional time may be necessary.
We sincerely regret that your client's website was affected by the delays. While we do believe our engineers did the best they could, there is room for improving communication. We are reviewing our systems to achieve that.
Thank you for your feedback.
