Takuya M.
I trusted their reviews, but they couldn't finish my request on time.
I was hoping to review them 5/5, but that's not happening. I trusted their brand at the beginning, now I can't request any more work to them. Knowledge of Nginx and server: 1/5 They are not well educated unless you request senior server engineer to join your task. Their engineers were first trying to do something I never requested. I had to tell them to postpone, requested senior server engineer to review the team. They could have broken my VPS... OTOH, senior server engineer knows things well, and quite accurate. I was expecting they do the job without me telling them what to do, but in order to keep them on the same track, I had to google a lot to find resources which may help them do their job properly. This was very frustrating. Delivery of the given task: 1/5 I ordered on 3 hrs of server help for $225 on 04/15/2020 (20:49), and the task was done at 04/19/2020 (10:48). During these days, they had some kind of emergency matters which made delay in their response to my requests. I'm not sure how often they face emergencies, but I had it twice until the task is finished (they used my budget, but actually not finish the task.) I asked them to setup reverse proxy for my WP installs with 4 sub domains in the beginning. They quoted $225. But in the end, they spent all the time I paid for without being able to deliver requested settings to 3 other sub domains. They do their job while it takes so long...but not that they complete the task properly. I'm not sure if this is the sales problem not being estimate the proper time and cost, or just lack of skills and experience managing, customizing servers. Client Communication: 2/5 As I've written above, I had to repeat myself a few times to keep them to do what I needed. They assigned about 3 or 4 people in my task, but I strongly felt my requests are not shared enough among the teams. My advise to Bobcares 1. Listen carefully what client needs, don't estimate the wrong budget because if they can't complete, all they get is 1 star review. 2. Train teams, or always assign senior server engineers with lots of experience. 3. Do something about emergencies. I never thought 3 hrs of task takes 4 days to deliver. 4. Ask again if client request is unclear. Always tell your clients about what they'll do to the servers in advance. Try hard keep everyone on the same track. 5. Tell clients something you can't do. Don't spend 4 days, then tell your client to take different approach.
