If I could give negative stars I would. I discovered that I had some Checks stolen and fraudulently written forging my signature. I tried to resolve online and over the phone and finally came into the local branch (Bank of the West until a few weeks ago). I spent two hours while the banker tried to help me, and was on hold and transferred no less than 3 times. Waited on hold for over an hour with no resolution. I simply needed to dispute the fraudulent checks and close the account number. Basic banking. None of these bankers knew what to do nor did their online customer service reps. Unbelievable.

SO MF HORRIBLE!!! i’ve been having problems with this bank for 5 DAYS STRAIGHT! hold time is Terrible, Customer Service is TRASH , so many times they effing hung up on me, BLOCKED MY CARD, MONEY DISAPPEARING AND REAPPEARING EVERY DAY. What a damn FREAK show. i’m about to get evicted because these muthafuckers keep Surprising me every day to my account! i never ever had these problems with Bank of the West, I will be moving banks this weekend. stupid piece of Crap bank.

Do not do business with them. They'll wipe out every account and shut down they're banks nationwide. It's a heist .

If I could give zero stars I would BMO joined with my Bank Bank of the West switched my routing number on my accounts. Was on hold for over hour and a half to be hung up simply for asking are my payments going to go through and do I need to now change my direct deposit which gives me no time to get done if they knew they were going to be changing stuff by a certain date Mail or email would have been nice made payments with checks who knows if those are going through. I liked Bank of the west but I might be changing after today's service.. Still need to call back to actually get they information I need hopefully not another hour and a half call to be hung up on. Bank of the West should have just stayed by itself never had an issue till they joined this bank.

Absolutely worthless customer service, bank of the west now falls under BMO. When the transfers are complete I am moving my money out of BMO.

From getting locked out of my account and stranded numerous times due to "daily updates" and unable to check my balance or use my debit card with MY MONEY at all, to getting shut out of my account IN THE MIDDLE of my vacation followed by a completely headache-inducing 30 minute verification process with ridiculous questions such as which STREETS are nearest to my house and which DIRECTION they are in, to now being locked out of my account for 4 DAYS due to "migrating Bank of the West customers". How about focusing on your OWN customers first to make sure that their needs are taken care of? Those Bank of the West customers should be migrating as far away from this bank as possible. Since online banking is closed for 4 days, you will get directed to a phone line which is ALSO closed during its regular business hours, and won't be able to check your balance at the bank either since it is closed for the weekend. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced with a bank and BMO has failed me time and time again. I am now migrating MY MONEY to a bank I can actually use as there is no reason for me to allow this kind of treatment as a customer and no incentive to stay with BMO.

Just want to update my last review. Still a terrible bank, at this point I only have myself to blame for not getting a new bank. Todays issues are the app isn't working. BMO's app is always under construction, one minute you can't log into your account, when you finally can, all the features are locked out, they are always working on the app but I dont know why because they dont fix anything. Also customer service is just as baffled by all the BS as I am. I don't think anyone actually works there its just Chatgpt hooked up to a speaker. Still need to find a new bank.

ATM malfunctioned 2 weeks on a row. First week went into bank told them about Problem. They said that was aware of problem happens all the time. I was not Debeted by ATM fist week but was second week. I did not get my money from ATM. I was charged by ATM and Teller for $300.00. I called 800 number to Make a claim and a women in India calling herself Chenell said it was taken care and Would be back in three to five business days. This happened on the 11 Aug. I had company until 18 Aug. Went to bank on 18 Aug and was told nothing had been done as I suspected. Women just told me That to get rid of me. This happened at Packerland branch in GB. I did not get name of lady that filed the claim but she Case I.D. 20230818000063 on back of Joseph Dulak business card. The women Said they have been trying to get machine Repaired or replaced. No response. I am 83 and this is first time I have had a Bank make an error. I am lucky that I do not live paycheck to paycheck, but there was A time when I did and could the difference of buying food for the week. It happened on 11 Aug i called on the 12 to report problem. Their key response is 3 to 5 business days. Which I started counting Again today. If ATM have me $300.00 too Much they would not wait 4 to 5 business Days to take it out of my account or repay it.
