Been a member for years, lately service is getting worse and worse. Online banking is down on a weekly basis. All around lousy experiences with BMO .

Worst banking experience ever! I opened an account several years ago, but I did not use it often because the online banking website is awful and the customer service is as well. I recently began using the account and immediately began to receive letters from their Know Your Customer division. I would call them and be forced to explain all of my transactions, only to receive another letter a few weeks later. This happened several times and amounted to near harassment. Then, without any warning, they sent a letter saying they were closing my account. I called and was told that they were not obligated to tell me the reason. The person I spoke with refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I tried to get my funds out of the account before it was closed, but there are no branches near my home. The ATMs that are supposedly BMO affiliated charged a hefty fee, and when I called to ask if there were any ATMs near me that are actual BMO ATMs, I was told to "google it". Overall, terrible customer service and a terrible banking experience!

Awful bank...they can't explain anything. Zelle never works. Nothing makes a bit of sense...no locations outside of Indianapolis...absolute clownshoes!

I'm a BMO Harris customer for over 15years, I recently needed a notary sevice for a simple school form.. I went through the drive up on weber & Taylor. Just wanted to make sure someone was available. I explained I was a customer but my daughter wasn't she went to ask I was told that both of us needed to customers...My daughter has an account at chase but I don't. They were more than happy to help us...looking into transferring some of my if not all my accounts soon...Thank You Chase on Weber..

If I could give zero stars, I would. I opened a new bank account two weeks ago with BMO. When I switched my direct deposit with my employer they said the first check would be live. After depositing my payroll check I was told the check was flagged for fraud and the funds could be on hold for up to 30 days. This is a regular payroll check from Wells Fargo. Customer service was not helpful at all and treated me like a criminal. In the meantime they have my hard earned funds. I will not be continuing to bank here after this is resolved. Shame on you BMO for basically stealing from hard working people.

Similar to other reviewers, this is the worst back I have ever had the misfortune to do business with. I withdrew funds from a CD that had matured via a BMO Bank check. A few days after depositing the check into an account with another bank, I learned that BMO had stopped payment. It was the other bank that notified me. Nothing from BMO. I called the manager of a BMO branch in a nearby city and was told that there had been a "system glitch". No apology was offered and I was told to come back and pick up another check. As I do not live in the same city, I asked to have the funds electronically transferred. They refused. I asked for lost interest on my funds. They refused. They called back later and offered to send a check via overnight mail. It was not until I received the check that I learned they had deducted $30, apparently to cover their cost for overnight mail. They didn't even bother to inform me of this up front. The lack of accountability and callous behavior of their manager was appalling.

Worse bank ever. Opened an online savings account and I was told that I had no limits to transferring money out through ACH and amounts were unlimited. Now i learned there's a maximum of 25k per day and up to 50K per month. They plainly lied and apologized for their agent not being clear about this. Now I'm stuck. Stay away if you can!!!!

I’m just gonna say they are in considerably rude and don’t work with you. Manager is the worst one. Froze my account because of one wire. Second omen he froze it. Cattle ranching. Cash business. If he can’t understand, why is he managing?
