All BMO Bank customer service don't do their job. I called to changed my address for them to send me new credit card and debit card. They never have my new info on file. I had to deal with same issues 5 times. So went in person and made them type my new info in their computer. They are lazy people. I never received my new card 3 mknths later. I would give it negative 5 star.

The worst bank branch on the earth. Terrible rude manager, and Runda clerk extremely Rude. My mom and dad 92 ears old people, my mom account have some negative balance on her bank account. I bring $300 to put on her account and just asked Ronda if it's enough to cover negative balance, she raised her voice on me and tell me what she can't give me information about bank account. I didn't ask info about bank account, just asked if 300 enough to cover negative balance. That Ronda absolutely terrible rude, not helpful and have NO common Sense. Terrible nasty place.

The Santa Monica location of BMO wins the dubious achievement of being the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever received. They sent me a cashier check made out to the wrong name, so they couldn’t cash it, but refused to reissue or honor. And it was their own cashier check. To add injury to insult, the bank manager, Manvir was a nightmare to deal with. She seemed to take pleasure in giving me the news that there was nothing fake could do, the BBC she smoked when I asked if she could be a little nicer. Bank of the West was so much better. BMO just lost a customer!

I wish I could leave a negative 5 stars. I had a boat loan with Bank of the West- I guess they sold to this BMO. I sold the boat, on Sunday, transferred the funds to pay off the loan on Monday. 2 weeks have passed, numerous phone calls and I still don't have a lien release. DONT use this bank unless it's your last hope. What a disaster. The customer service team on phones are the most untrained, and they have no knowledge of how the system works. Amazing - if you choose them after reading this -- I told ya so.

Racial discrimination, unprofessionalism, prejudicism, and lack of integrity is experienced when banking with BMO. The bank tellers if you are not a white male will without a doubt profile you. I have never experienced the type of disrespect and racial profiling you find when attempting to do business with a bank. I am hopefully BMO will train their tellers and bankers. I warn others please do not do business with BMO bank. Do business with your local credit union or the main banks. Do not open accounts with this bank. On 7/20/2024, I deposited a check issued to me by the State of California into my BMO checking account for my work as a mental health professional for working in a rural and underserved community. I was told by the teller these funds where going to be released on Tuesday 7/23/2024, the next business day following BMO policies. I waited for these funds to be released and attempted to withdraw these funds on 7/23/2024. I proceeded to attempt to withdraw these funds at the same branch where I deposited the check in Santa Ana, CA. I was told this branch was unable to "identify me". I had various forms of identification including my husband was with me who also opened the account with me. I believe this was due to racial profiling and prejudicism as the checked had cleared and the funds were available. I then proceeded to drive across town to the branch where I opened the account. They were reluctant to help with this matter. I was then told the check had to be verified, strangely not the original reason as why the funds were unable to be withdrawn which was due to "identification issues." I was questioned regarding the check and even proved to the banker they funds were paid to me by the State of California as they forced me to sign-in. Again, I believe this is due to racial profiling and prejudicism. My funds despite already being cleared where then placed on a 7-day hold. I believe BMO tellers have not been trained to act within BMO code of conducts and follow their own personal biases. It is my understanding and experience they do not engage in ethical conduct and will profile customers on how they are dressed and what ethnicity they hold. I am a mental health professional and have been trained to interpret verbal and nonverbal communication and conduct and can understand when microaggressions and discrimination occurs. I warn others discrimination and racial prejudicism is occurring in BMO branches and when banking with BMO.

The worst bank I’ve ever had left and right it’s problem after problem. I am currently switching over to a different bank because of it. First, they canceled my Card without my authorization. Actually, they canceled after I told them not to and said I would go to the bank and deal with it so that I wouldn’t be without a card. I had three payments that Were marked as paid only to be returned because they said I didn’t have enough money in there, even though I Zelled myself from another account of however they claim i didn’t send it until after the payment. Bill payments I made after the other payments that returned went through and posted.

I wish I had paid any attention to reviews...at all. I transferred money from my personal savings to open a new account with them. I have all the documentation proving the transfer from that account to my new account with BMO. They never credited those funds. I had to file a dispute with my bank...on my time...to be refunded the money they stole from me. They blamed a "third-party" provider. DO NOT bank with them. They misrepresent themselves. It should not be my burden...or my bank's burden, to get back money they have effectively stolen. But that is what I was told...after being hung up on twice.

They are by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Today I tried to make a deposit to my business checking account. Their ATM would not accept deposits. (not the first time there have been issues with their ATMs). I stood in line and when I reached the teller (Ms.Chen at Westborough S.S.F.) I told her the ATM wasn't accepting deposits. No response, Just kind of a snort. Then she questioned the validity of the checks I wanted to deposit . I asked her what the problem was and she said they "looked like copies." I said I had never had problems depositing these checks before and if they didn't want my money I could deposit it somewhere else. Her response "go ahead." I think I'll take her up on that.
