A corrupt visa company!
A corrupt visa company! Called the Spanish Consulate in early May about a lack of appointments on the BLS website, the Consulate advised that they have subcontracted the visa work to BLS and to deal with them. BLS had zero appointments from the 5th of May till the 30th of May, I checked everyday, sometimes 3 times a day. The BLS website would also not allow you to book in later months, only the current month of May. On May 31st, the bookings page reset itself, still no appointments available, but the "no slots available" days had all turned to a grey colour and the June month was showing, but it wasn't bookable yet. I checked at midnight of June 1st, it was still the same. I went to sleep hoping I would get an appointment in the morning. When I checked at 6:23am, all the appointment slots have been fully booked! I can get an appointment from the dodgy Indian visa agents who are advertising schengen visa aervices online, but they can cost anywhere from £300 up to £700 just for an appointment, and I don't trust them either. BLS is an Indian company that works with embassies and governments on visa processing services. Looks like a dodgy setup with BLS selling all the appointments to middle men, who then are charging extortionate prices just for an appointment. I know India is endemically corrupt, but can you guys not export it here to the UK? Anyway not booking a holiday to Spain again! And will check which countries use BLS as a visa processing service before I book a holiday and need to obtain a Schengen visa for my wife. Has definitely lowered my view of Spain!
