BLS Nightmare
It is very obvious that Spain does not want tourists. If it did it would not use this shambolic company. I do not need a visa to visit Spain. My Filipina wife does. We have been married for 29 years. She has had visas from many countries when travelling on holiday with me - Australia, New Zealand, USA and even Schengen (France) to name but a few. Never have we had any problem getting a visa. Never have we been asked for additional documents. She is visiting me in the UK for several months, as she has done for the last two years, where she already has a ten year visa. During that time we wanted to have a holiday in Spain. Her application was supported with a financial support letter from me which also advises of her primary trip to the UK, included her flight ticket to and from the UK and a copy of my UK passport. So why did the Spanish Consulate request additional documents from me, including a copy of my passport, which it should already have? Did BLS incorrectly remove it from the submitted application documents? I do not need a visa, I can even cross the border from France, Italy or Portugal without my passport even being checked. Avoid Spain and BLS. Choose another country to visit. We are now trying to get her passport returned so that she can shortly fly to the UK. Try phoning BLS - no answer. Try emailing BLS - no answer. Totally amateur and unprofessional. BLS should not be allowed by any country to process foreign visa applications made by that country's nationals. VFS are much more professional. By the way, Trustpilot, no point you notifying this review to that BLS email address you have referred to - nobody answers. It is as much use as a chocolate tea pot, a bit like BLS itself.
