Could have gone more smoothly
Getting the initial prescription was quick & easy. Got the medication right away. When I got the notification it was time for a refill, that was also on target. I had only a little bit left of the eye drops. Initially was advised I’d be told in advance if my out of pocket would increase by more than $15. But then… I get a message that my out of pocket cost would be $60 more and to approve payment. When I asked about using my insurance I was told “they were closed” and my doctor didn’t get pre approval. This occurred right before a weekend. By Monday BlinkRx sent a message my prescription was canceled. I called my insurer and was told that it was rejected in an automated fashion and I could request a review. I did so and within about 36 hours I had an approval for a years worth of this medication. Now, because of all the rigmarole, I am out of eye drops and although they are on their way this period of time without the eye drops was entirely avoidable. I feel that had BlinkRx advised me when they said they were preparing for a refill about the need for approval I would have had the medicine before missing 4-5 days of it.
