Blindster.comReviews of blindster.com

This is the second time I've ordered Blindster Blinds. The first time was in our old house where we had to have the smallest aluminum blinds, and this second time in a newer house where we could get the faux wood blinds. Both times were easy to install (clear instructions, very strong hold). The blinds hold up well and are easy to clean.

Be very careful with the replacement guarantee, it is not what is seems. I purchased a "white" fabric shade for my white tile bathroom and it came in very yellow. I contacted customer service and they told me, no problem, they will refund me the cost of the original shade if I order a new one with different fabric. They refunded me the $95 I paid for the first shade and charged $261 for same shade with an upgraded fabric. I could see paying a little extra but not more than 2.5 times. They set up a cart for me on the website to order the replacement but I did not realize the cost was so much until after ordering it. They ghosted me after contacting them regarding this issue. Update: Please note, Blindster.com responded very quickly to this review but never to my emails regarding this issue.

I've ordered many blinds from your company, for me personally and my company. I've only had one other issue other than this one, which both were handled to my utmost satisfaction. Customer service is great.

Having real people to talk to. I am a "Novice"at best when it comes to window coverings. I felt secure and covered in all aspects of the order. Do pay attention to the in-set of the windows, that will dictate whether you go inside mount or top. They will ask!

Custom sized motorized blinds arrived quickly, fit perfectly and were easy to install.

Ordered after following instructions on website. Delivered as inside window frame shade not outside over window as ordered. Back and forth with customer service now for a month, originally said redo was free (and cited up to a few redos with no charge) now they are charging 50% more for the redo which was their fabrication issues to begin with. Oddly the customer service email thread says they would initially do it for free. I am asking for a refund- hopefully they response wiht a fix or refund. I cannot guarantee additional $ will fix the issues.

Love the personal service , and suggestions , was sent samples which made my decision very easy ! I Have ordered previously so knew the quality and service , my only issue is one blind double cellular is a bit over 6 foot wide and it’s much heavier than previous one which was singular cell , I have an issue lifting the blind so I just leave it open , luckily it’s in the back of the house so no privacy issues .

While I like the look of the roman shades I ordered, I needed them to be 'blackout', ordered them as such and paid the premium for blackout lining. I the got the shades and saw that the blackout lining does not go to the outer edge of the shade fabric leaving them less than blackout. I contacted customer service, sent pics of the issue, measured that the amount of space left on each side of the fabric uncovered by the blackout liner is inconsistant and poorly sewn and was told that all is correct. I argued my case that they cannot be called blackout if the liner doesn't extend to the edges and I was told it was supposed to be that way. I argued that the amount of lined fabric is inconsistant and I was told it was supposed to be that way. I argued that the workmanship was sloppy and was told it's supposed to be that way. I tried to explain to customer service on the phone that no one would accept the hem on a pair of pants to be uneven and that the shades I received had essentially the same issue and was told they agreed but that there was nothing more they could do. I want the shades remade to the specifications I ordered and paid for but was told they would be made the same way as the ones I already have. I was also told that it would cost me a fee plus tax for the shades to be remade and that I would have to pay shipping. I was told I could return the shades but that they would only give me approx 50% on the dollars I paid since they are custom made and wouldn't be able to be resold. I am in Interior Designer who has worked with window treatments for over 40 years and these are unacceptable. I am unhappy and their 60 day warranty is nothing more than words. I will not only not recommend this company but I will actively tell my clients to avoid them at all costs.
