The food is so delicious and offers a wide variety of cuisines. I appreciate the ability to choose my favorites and enjoy delicious meals with the outcome of slow, steady and meaningful weight loss. I am learning how to eat to live and letting go of "living to eat" type lifestyle. My concern with the BistroMD arises from the delivery. Especially noteworthy is the summer weather with persistent high temps and humidity interfering with the ability for the food to stay frozen. The last four deliveries have arrived with no dry ice remaining in the box. Thus, it is a challenge to open and store in the freezer ASAP.

Many of the meals taste fresh and delicious. Good texture to fish. I like the variety of spices and sauces. The servings are large and filling. I could never prepare these nutritionally balanced meals at home. I love that they are heat and eat. Negatives have been beef stews with big chunks of fat and gristle. Not good considering the price. Also, I personally do not like hot spices and black pepper. They are like a chemical burn. I would like more Italian spices and sauces. And I totally miss deserts. I’d love chocolate pudding and a variety of fruit based pie filling type deserts.

The meals seem well thought out, healthy and flavorful.

Good food that is nutritionally balanced. They don’t over do the packaging, they use non-GMO or organic occasionally, the chicken tastes like chicken and even have some wild fish choices. It’s not exactly the quality of how we would eat, but it’s solid and we have appreciated not having to be in and out of stores or cooking three meals a day. Thanks BistroMD!!

So far, BistroMD is the best of the four services I have tried. For all four services, I quickly tire of the same food week to week. Delivery is erratic with food arriving on my doorstep anywhere from Wed morning to Friday evening so it is a good thing we are on lockdown and I am not going anywhere. Despite excellent packing, I have received two deliveries where the plastic trays are shattered. I would like to try a breakfast and one meal combo but don't think that option is available.
