My family and I have tried several meal delivery programs such as HelloFresh, Blue Apron, Sun Basket, and Freshly. BistroMD is BY FAR the worst meal delivery program we have tried. The food quality is horrible and their customer service is just as bad. We are stuck with a bunch of meals not fit for even our pet. I tried to reason with them about the quality of their foods, but my complaints fell on deaf ears. They actually had the audacity to blame my lack of palate in their "gourmet meals" which is hilarious. Please don't waste your money or your time with BistroMD. HelloFresh is ten times better!

Customer service was terrible
I used bistroMD for a few weeks I tried to cancel multiple times. I was 1 day past the deadline to pick your meals but the order was not going to ship for 4 days. When I tried to explain to them that I did not want the meals as it is not worth 15 dollars a meal, and I couldn't really afford it. The customer service person had no response besides their pre typed responses telling me I was too late. These are frozen meals... So you would think they could keep the meals that were in my order frozen and send them to the next customer as everyone has the same menu options. They have zero compassion for people and over charge and have no wiggle room. Will not be using again, customer service is one of the most important things to me, HelloFresh for example has great customer service all around.

Great idea, horrible execution
In concept this is a great idea. However, in practice, it is horribly executed, and customer service is plain bad.
I signed up and received my first week's order. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great. It was kind of "blah", and for $10 per TV dinner, I guess I was expecting something rather better than what I got.
So, if you're not paying a premium price for the quality of the food, I would be OK with paying for excellent service, convenience, and consistency. Unfortunately, you don't get any of those either.
The second week I got an email saying the shipment was delayed because of bad weather. Then I got another email saying it was further delayed. Then I got yet another email saying it was canceled. Not great for the second week.
OK, so they said they would get back to normal the following week (my third week). Their website is poorly designed and it is not possible to see whether you have a current shipment or not. I found out today that a shipment was sent to me two days ago but I received no confirmation email, no tracking number, and there is nothing about the shipment anywhere on my member's area of the website. I only found out when I called them and was told about this shipment by a pretty obnoxious customer service rep.
By the way it is worth adding that you have to wait on hold at least 20 minutes if you're going to call them. Pretty pathetic when they're expecting you to invest $800-1000 every single month for frozen meals that probably cost $1 each to make.
It's way overpriced, and the service is just horrible. There are other better options out there, and I'm going with those.

If could give a zero or I would
If could give a zero or I would. I ordered the menopause plan. My husband ordered the diabetic plan. They were the same, but he got more snacks. The food was nasty. He almost got sick trying to eat lunch. It was inedible.

Terrible for Diabetes
I did the diabetic program and was hugely disappointed. The food was bland and more shocking, it contained added sugar in every meal I tried. Most of the meals had 9 grams or more of sugar. My A1C never dropped the entire month I was on the plan. My order plus the shipping was over $200 a week for food that was supposed to be good for me, when in fact it made my A1C worse. Don't waste your money folks.

One of the most disappointing purchase…
One of the most disappointing purchase of my life. The food was awful. Frozen TV dinners from the super market are a better value. We did eat the first meal but could only eat part of our second try. On the third try we each took a taste and sent out for pizza. That took care of six meals. The other four will go straight into the trash. Don't waste your money!

The food was not good. I had a chicken meat loaf. I could not tell if it was chicken or fish. The box was left in my driveway so I do not know how long. The dry ice was gone. If you order and do not know if you will continue it cancel the second week when you order the first. If not and you cancel it you still have to pay for the second week. You can get this quality at the grocery store freezer.

Hi Larry, we would like to take the opportunity to address your concerns. Dry ice does evaporate during transit, however, the packaging is designed to keep your entrees frozen from our facility to your door. You will receive a tracking number for every order so you know when to expect it. Many members sign up for FedEx text notifications too.
You are free to cancel your subscription anytime within the weekly deadline, which is 5pm ET on Wednesday prior to the delivery week. For example, if you wanted to cancel your program and not receive a delivery the week of 10/12/20, the deadline to cancel that order and all subsequent orders is 10/7/20 at 5pm ET. You will not be charged for deliveries that are cancelled.
We hope that you have enjoyed more of the entrees in your first order! Every dish is crafted with balanced nutrition and prepared by professional chefs in small batches with quality ingredients. Our entrees are much lower in sodium, saturated fat, and added sugars while being much higher in lean protein and fiber compared to your typical frozen entree from your local grocer. We also do not use preservatives, fillers, trans fat, artificial flavors, or added MSG in our entrees.
We're sorry to see you go and wish you well on your wellness journey!
In health,
