Lesson Learned I.
Scam of 50% fees, buyer beware!!!
Do not buy from Birch Gold for investment purposes. Many of the coins they offer are minted just for Birch Gold, and are basically worth the spot price only, but they charge an exorbitant fee upfront for the purchase telling you they are valuable collector's items. For example, we invested $30,000 in coins in 6/24. When that purchase hit our account, it only had a market value of $15,000, they took 50% of our investment off the top. A year and a half later after metals had soared in price, I asked what the value of our coins was worth. They said they were worth about $25,000 but we were only able to sell them for $19,000, which was basically the spot price. When they tell you you're buying a long term investment, understand that means it will take you a long time to recoup their upfront charge! Do not buy from Birch unless you want to see your investment cut in half!!! We have since switched to Noble Gold where they discuss the bid and the ask along with fees to give you total transparency about what your buying, how much it truly will cost you, and what it is truly worth. For authentication purposes, the Birch Gold representatives we worked with were mainly James A., & Grant G. , but we also dealt with Paige M., Sean P., Sarah F. and Susan V.

If you are an actual customer of Birch Gold, please call us so we can identify you as a customer, review your account, and address your concerns using precise numbers and details of your transaction. We'd like to be a resource to your account and address each of your concerns directly. The valuation figures you've cited are not accurate representations of precious metals pricing or how holdings are calculated. Comparing an initial purchase price of IRA-compliant metals to the spot value displayed in an IRA account will result in misleading conclusions as physical, tangible metals have a retail value well above and beyond their melt value, i.e. spot price. Additionally, precious metal values will fluctuate constantly based on several factors including bid/ask spreads, product type, liquidity, and timing of liquidation. Transparency is a core principle of how we operate. All pricing, including any premiums, is clearly outlined in the transaction agreement that each customer must sign and is discussed in detail multiple times through telephone and written communications prior to any purchase being made. As you would attest to, customers generally make decisions only after reviewing all the information provided. We hope that this has cleared up your misunderstandings. If not, we encourage you to call us so we can gather a better understanding of your position and have a productive conversation. We are confident we can resolve your concerns.
