The Bioness does not lift my foot enough safely for me to wear it outside and be safe in the world unfortunately the representative that fitted me for it did not catch that when I met with her and so I went ahead and bought it after she approved me to get it and I'm still paying on it through CareCredit, but it's just sitting in the couch in my bedroom because I can't wear it safely very often so I have to wear my AFO on it pretty much on a daily Basis. They tried to reach out afterwards and tell me to change the settings and I did that, but it still doesn't lift my foot enough safely to where I can wear it daily outside the house and be safe. It still feels very cumbersome when I walk and my foot still drags so it's just not really safe to wear out and about and run errands and things like that.

The unit did not work well for my foot drop. Sure wish it did.

My son’s initial consultation to try the device went well, and he did not report any pain at that time. However, after we decided to move forward with the purchase, we completed an online session with a company representative, during which my son experienced significant discomfort—so much so that he began to cry. We attempted to use the device two more times over the following days, but each time he remained uncomfortable. Based on this, we decided to return the device and request a refund. Unfortunately, the return process was extremely frustrating. It felt like we had to go through unnecessary hurdles just to initiate the return. Due to delays and lack of follow-through from Bioness representatives, I ultimately had to mail the device back myself. At times, it seemed like there was an effort to stall the process, potentially to push us beyond the 30-day return window. Once the device was delivered to their facility, I was told they were still “confirming receipt with billing,” even though tracking showed it had already arrived. At that point, we were just one day away from the end of the 30-day refund period. It’s also important to note that even with a return, there is still a $600 fee retained. While the device may work for some individuals, our overall experience with the company was disappointing and stressful. I regret going through this process due to the lack of clear communication and the difficulty in completing a straightforward return. As of now, I am still waiting for confirmation that they have received the returned device. If I do not receive a clear response within 24 hours, I will be considering further action.

I’ve had trouble from the start with the device. It has a lot of promise but I don’t think it delivers. The device has to be lined up just so on my leg to work properly and it never seems to be in the same place twice. The staff have been helpful but their suggestions only work for a while. I am very disappointed in the device.

I don’t wear the bioness at all. I wore this for a month at first. But then I started PT and I am doing really well without this. I wish that the manager who fitted me for the bioness had discussed the value more. It was too expensive, over $6000.

Staff was helpful but device could never be set up to operate correctly. Now we have a $5000 paperweight

I love the Bioness device and it does the job it is meant to do. Don't expect much from the people who sell it to you. They sell it and move on to the next sale.
