My new Bioness does not work as well as my old Bioness system! I am disappointed !

Bioness L 300 is a great device to be able to walk close to walking naturally when i first tried it. It was a great feeling to finally walk without my AFO. Fortunately, our insurance covered the cost. After I received the device, I had a little problem. since it's an electrode stimulation. IT's not comfortable. though you can adjust the intensity level of stimulation. I also felt I need to get more PT using the device so i can walk better and confidently with it. I guess i just need to practice more at least it will help me get rid of the dent on my leg caused by using the AFO for a long time Another advantage of using this device is a I can use a normal shoe size other than my rubber shoes since I had to wear a bigger shoe size for my AFO to fit. I Believe you can walk barefoot with it and will try it too. Since it's an electrode controlled device, it's not waterproof though I wish it is .this device is a step closer to having normal life again. I f this device is affordable and all insurances will cover , it will be be very helpful to all stroke victims like me.

Overall I am happy with Bioness. I have had a device for over 3 years and just got the new bioness go unit a few weeks ago. The new unit is a big improvement, with my favorite feature being walking barefoot. I put it on as soon as I get out of bed now because I don’t need shoes. Yay! The only negative I have had would be getting return calls from customer service, I would wait for weeks to get a response. In the end it all worked out and I am loving the new “Go”.

I really like it just wish manual instructions were more user friendly. I look forward to being able to use it with more consistent ease. I am definitely looking forward to future benefits to be had with my Bioness!

I really enjoy them and they give me so much freedom from the mafo braces.

NO gate sensor NOR control unit!!! Some of the times the algorithm is not less that a second but its still good. The cuff is really tight against skin but still good against bending my knee and shifting the old cuff and shifting back to a good position.

Bioness is my last hope for mobility. After my first week, I experienced limited additional mobility and it's fun waking up to new achievements. For me, purchasing the Control Unit is a must and should be a part of the sale; however, it is an additional expense. My Sale Rep., Alicia, is great and so are Tech people. My only concern is the distance needed to travel to get hands-on help and the Rep's extremely busy schedule.
