I believe the product works, but not for every application. I used Two different methods of Bioness. The first “Lower Cuff” was designed to help with Drop Foot. It does a very good job in helping with achieving this. The voltage needed adjusting (higher) within the first month. The second “Upper Cuff” didn’t really provide any usefulness helping with the hamstring. It too had to be adjusted the first month. The result was that the ability to get a normal gait walk made the leg completely straight legged with no bending of the knee. Results will be different for each individual and just because I have mixed feelings, doesn’t make this product bad. I truly believe it will benefit a lot of people and help them achieve their goals.

I have never actually gotten my new device to work correctly. Tried it almost 2 weeks ago and the things shocked me so badly that my leg that I can't even lift went into clawness with spasms from the ankle up to the top of my knee it was agonizing for 48 hours every few minutes my leg would lift involuntarily. I had met with a physical therapist at Cleveland Clinic who is now moved out of state we got the thing to work back around late January early February but when I tried it at home it would work for 30 minutes and turn off. It is hard to meet with the company physical therapist because he can only meet in Solon or Westlake and both places are somewhat distant from where I live. It has been frustrating and currently I will not be able to use the device because my leg is so swollen so I hope in time maybe I can use it after paying all this money and my original one had worked great for me but it stopped working a number of years back. Anyway I have found it all quite frustrating. Admittedly I miss the old company where they could meet you more readily at various places or even come to your home.

So far, the first type of electrode that we tried burned me twice. The device worked splendidly but also cause 2nd degree burns. We are going to try other electrode types. My hope is that they work as well but without the burns.

I have an abnormal gait pattern and it has not adjusted to when and how I step. The pads also have a burnt popcorn odor.

I think the device works as advertised, however, I feel victim to the switch of systems and my next day delivery (as promised by my rep) turned into a week without notice or resolved. Emailed but no response back. I overall enjoy my device now that I have it.

I don’t know how to rate it. I will say my interactions with differing people involved has been very good. Where I am torn is on its use. At my demo, I thought … hey this is great, I’m walking much much much better. Sold! … Then I received it and started using it about a week later. Hmmm, not quite the same. Had a follow up zoom at the one week mark and was given some advice on adjusting the device. Ok, got it. It made some differences but still not like the demo. Set up another in person where I was observed again. Observations indicated my toe was lifting though it sure didn’t feel like it. There were comments on my weak hip muscle which I was aware of and work on with PT. That said, I don’t know how it could have deteriorated so much in the week between the demo and my receipt of it. It’s been a couple of months now and I will say there are some good times where it seems to be working okay, but I still don’t have the feeling it is working like it did at the demo. Overall, I think there is some good done with its use, but I just don’t see it working at the level of the original demo. I want it to work like it did at the demo.

I’m finding that this has to be placed exactly perfectly for me to feel it really works
