The gait sensor broke at least three times during demonstration. It broke again when applied at home. My husband fixed it twice. Then we applied it to the tongue of the shoe. The cuff and stim unit fail to work in the fifth walk after twenty minutes. The trial mode ceased to work although being charged. Both did work the following day. I did see some improvement in ability to climb stairs.

I continue to have problems with my electrodes sticking where they belong. I am still using my cane because I have still not gotten comfortable without using it. I cannot wait until the day that I can walk unassisted except for with my bioness

The experience to obtain my device was not pleasant, between trying to schedule an evaluation to the cost of purchasing it, but I did finally have it delivered and the set-up with the clinician was very good, I would give that a five. How effective it will be is yet to be determined, however any improvement in use of my hand will be better then I currently have. Once I have had time to experience it I will update my review.

Still not sure if the product is right for me but my appointment yesterday with Will straightened out a few problems. I used it today as directed but I did have one shockingly painful episode. It appears that the positioning of the electrode cuff is VERY prone to operator(?) error, and the penalty for error seems pretty severe. It shocked the daylights out of me. After I hurriedly hit the kill switch and rotated the cuff slightly it worked fine but honestly I was very hesitant to retry the training program for fear of having a repeat experience. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

The customer service is fantastic. It exceeds all expectations and I put it in the same category of Apple and T-Moble. Both of which are stellar. The complaints come in weird places. First of all...the remote. I feel like, given the hefty price of the device, there should be an advanced remote. The only way I can describe it is the device lives in the digital world while the remote is very analog. Why do we not have a touch screen? Why can't we choose programs? Why do we have to go into an office to see a sales rep to reprogram. This should be a simple tap of an icon. We live in an iPhone world. Bioness is behind the times. Especially for a device that costs more than a fully loaded MacBook pro. The other flaw is the inability to customize the hand piece. The way it is now, it's not padded and its into the hand. Probably the dumbest design flaw is the random tab at the back of the device which is supposed to cover the charging cable. This is completely unnecessary and cuts into the bicep of a person who is tight in the arm. As we put it in, this random piece SCRAPS across the bicep and cause pain. While on it digs into the skin. Why is this there? So not needed. These complaints wouldn't be an issue if we we were talking about a 500 dollar device. But we're talking about 7 grand. Deliver 7 grand worth bells and whistles. The technology is there.

I've had the L300 plus for 2 months now. So far, the use has been average. While it helps, with gait and training, the system beeps randomly all day. There is no pattern or reason that I or my therapist can find. I have talked to customer service a couple of times and haven't received a solution that has resolved the problem. I haven't tried to use it while at work yet, but I can expect the random audible beeping can be quite disrupting at work. I don't know what I can do about it. Not sure if I would recommend this product to someone else.

I have completed 3 weeks of my 4 week trial. I ran into some issues in my 2nd week. No matter where I placed the device, my foot was not moving in an up and down motion but was moving in. I was able to get a pt rep to meet me. Sarah reset the controller and it has been working much better. My only suggestion would be if the pt person could do weekly follow ups on the device at the user's residence during the 30 day trial. The suggestion is up to 8 visits for adjustments during the trial but it is not easy for me to get to the rehab center where I met the rep. As this is an expensive device not covered by my insurance, having a convenient location for adjustments is very important and is a factor in whether I will be keeping the device.

We had a few glitches, given that this was coming from the US. There was a difference in cost (exchange) and well as the complications of getting it here (not to mention the increase in cost!). As a quadriplegic (C6-7 injury), I am challenged to find someone to help me get it on and off every day. When I am using it, I am very pleased with this piece of equipment. It seems to be having some positive effect on the activation of muscles in my forearm, allowing for some minimal hand movement.
