Not as easy to use as expected
Not as easy to use as expected. App very difficult for me to use. Walking stamina not as good as with brace. Not sure device is working as it should. Needs more follow-up with Bioness expert than anticipated to be sure device is properly programmed and working as it should. Foot and ankle movement likely to be very beneficial at some point, however. Training mode may turn out to be very helpful.

My first issue is that after purchasing…
My first issue is that after purchasing the device out of pocket (which is quite a large investment) being charged $20 for standard shipping feels like an insult. Also, it was not disclosed to me prior to purchasing that I am now required to purchase electrodes for the lifetime of the device in order for the device to function. Lastly, I don’t like the limitations of the device to the user. The app (which you also have to pay for) is very limited and in order to make adjustments you have to meet with the rep.

Regarding limitations, the L300 provides a wide range of activities for users when wearing the device. However, at this time, users may not wear the device for water activities. My limited experience with Bioness
I've only had the bioness for a month and find it helps when my leg gets tired. When I wore it for too many hours due to a plane ride, my legs had burn marks on it, I would have loved it if a representative gave me a few lessons on how to walk with it properly . I had a PT help me for 3 sessions. That did help.

Big Money For Little Change
The lower cuff helps pick my foot up and at first threw my balance off. I have to turn it down in morning until i get moving around. There is no app for Android which is a big inconvience but I did not want to spend $300 on a remote after spending over $5500 on device. Bioness said app coming soon for Android whatever that means. The brace has not increased my walking speed or quality yet but we will see what happens in future.

Experience Obtaining the Bioness System
The initial contact with the insurance and Bioness was very frustrating. Phone calls were not returned promptly. The process took much longer than it needed to be. Rob Cambell was excellent to work with. It gave us more confidence that there was a more helpful aspect to Bioness.

Function and ease of use
People working with clients are good with people. Schedule availability and locations need improving. Locations need to be more accessible for handicapped people. We do not always have someone with us. Products are good and the change in L300 is an improvement for most things. Would be good to bring others back. I agree, we should be putting the unit on while testing & learning use of it. Balance is a problem for me. Doing away with the hand control unit is a detriment to me. Bending over, lifting a pant leg to adjust the setting is actually very dangerous for me. Please bring back the hand held control unit. Moving forward is great. Stepping sideways (in kitchen, office,etc) unit does not respond well. I use the thigh unit also and if stepping backwards, the unit kind of combats motion. New unit is better than old unit. Can sit for longer period without pain. While getting into cars, booths, etc. the unit can shift. I am short (5'),this is a regular problem. To adjust the unit, you need privacy. I have the unit on securely; marks remain on thigh for some time after taking it off.

Getting used to the unit
Getting used to the unit - I think they need to spend more time with patient explaining and they should have client put on the different units! I am still making mistakes
