Our apartment just moved to this service and wont allow us to use any other method of paying rent other than cashiers checks. It just charged us more than 100 dollars for a "transactions fee" because we couldn't pay with a direct bank connect or else we would have to wait three pays and in turn make us late on our rent payment. That really sucks and is an insane transaction fee.

This is the worst method I have ever had to pay my rent. Please explain to me why we cannot split rent payments in a shared household? Is it that hard to have multiple people pay rent in 2026? Also, the "convenience fee" for paying with a debit card is ridiculous. How are you gonna charge me to pay rent?

Required to use Bilt for rent, and it’s a terrible experience. The app is cluttered with ads and offers when all you’re trying to do is pay rent. The biggest problem is privacy. I logged in and saw multiple credit cards already listed under my account, with the last four digits visible. I did not add them. That was shocking. Opting out of data sharing didn’t even work the first time. I had to do it twice, and I still don’t trust it. No real customer support either. No phone number, just an AI chatbot. This should be simple. It’s not. Be careful with your data.

the AI keeps putting you in a loop, i received a call in reference to my escrow and am unable to call a live person. it is completely wrong and i cannot get thru to a live person to discuss....hoursdays on the phone and unable to speak with anyone. UWM and Bilt are horrible. i have been dealing with this for weeks. Absurd

If I could give a zero I would. What kind of data mining company is this?! I have never in my entire life had a more worse experience with a company. This is a prime example of that machine learning and automation has gone too far. I am even more angry with UWM doing this horrible deal and I consider leaving them as a customer because I wanna stay far away from these types of ”tech bro” companies…

I applied for and received the palladium card but the mortgage payment feature didn’t work with certain mortgage providers so obviously I didn’t want to pay the $600 fee for a card i wasn’t going to use. The representative told me to close the account and reapply in 90 days for the no fee blue card. But after the 90 days another representative told me i cannot reapply because i closed the account. They will tell you whatever they need to to get you off the call true or otherwise. If anyone can get the mortgage payment working you might be ok, but otherwise i would steer away from bilt.

Transferred our mortgage processing to bilt without our consent. They gave us zero warning, just couldn't pay our bill one day. Now that we are migrated over to bilt, we don't see an amortization schedule or helpful information we used to have. Not sure why they switched, but they constantly try to shove to you how you can earn rewards on paying your mortgage which is pretty negligible. Customer service is funneled to AI

I would rate them zero stars if it was an option. Since they broke away from Wells Fargo it has been a complete disaster. It’s nearly impossible to access your account or talk to a person and if you are lucky enough to get a live person they can’t help you, you have to send an email to a department that sometimes responds and they are not helpful. I moved and changed phone numbers and could not access my account because even though I verified my account by email they sent a code to my disconnected number so I had to email support staff for help and have not gotten any response. You also have to tie your checking account to them and have no option to send them a check or money order or even use your personal banks bill pay option to pay them. I don’t tie my checking account to anything for security reasons. I only used them to pay rent and pay my cell phone bill for the built in benefits of phone insurance but I am willing to cancel all that and take a hit on my credit report by cancelling them it has been that bad. If they go back to Wells Fargo I will reconsider but it’s not worth the stress, the un helpfullness, the headaches it causes, and the inconvenience.
