I am so disappointed that I have to leave a review like this. I promise to update this with a positive experience once things are changed. I am a Massage Therapist that works for Bigtoe. I did not receive my funds from the company, which was like 83 or 84 dollars. It’s so sad as if I would lie about something like this. The company does not care about its employees as I am the main one that they contact because I cover for other therapists that don’t want to take any of these jobs. I will go further with my complaint if this is not resolved.

BigToe is the most unethical company I…
BigToe is the most unethical company I have ever encountered. My experience with them was nothing short of a scam. The customer service was terrible, lacking any hospitality or respect. If you’re considering booking a service with BigToe, take this as a warning—don’t even visit their website. If I could give a 0 star review I would!
I booked a couples massage for over $300 and didn’t receive the service at all. Our therapist drove by, rolled down her window, and simply said, “Oh, I’m not doing this,” because we had one flight of stairs and were at an Airbnb instead of a hotel. Danielle M. was incredibly disrespectful and needs to be held accountable.
During the booking process, I specified that we were staying in a “hotel with one flight of stairs,” and I also noted in the comments that it was an Airbnb. Despite this, I was charged extra for both a “hotel fee” and a “flight of stairs fee.”
I was under the impression that the therapists would review the details before accepting the booking, which should have clarified any concerns about the location. When I reached out to customer support, they blocked my chat, preventing any further communication. I emailed corporate to express my frustration, and they only offered a 50% refund, stating it would be processed in 24 hours. Why should I only receive half when no service was provided?
A week later, I still have not received my refund or any response to my follow-up email. Avoid this company at all costs.

The location in question was not simply an Airbnb—it was a literal treehouse. Our therapists carry heavy equipment and must consider safety and feasibility when accessing locations like this. Asking them to climb into a treehouse with all of their equipment was not a reasonable request, which is why the therapists, understandably, refused the session on arrival

Perhaps Just Another Money Hungry App
I recently downloaded your mobile booking app for the first time and made a mistake while booking a massage session for tonight instead of next week.
Given that it was my first time using the app, I was surprised to find that I could only cancel or reschedule for a fee. I would have appreciated a one-time courtesy to allow me to reschedule without a charge, especially since I was not familiar with how the platform works.
This experience has left me feeling disheartened, as it seems the company prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I am now unsure if your massage therapists are worth the investment, given the eagerness to charge me within minutes of my booking.
I hope you will consider revising your policy to accommodate new users better in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The service was abominable
The service was abominable. They made promises, confirming the hours that the masseuses would arrive, charged me over $750 for two 90 mins couple massages to be given by 2 masseuses. The arrival hour came and only one masseuse showed up. THE BIG TOE TEAM NEVER REACHED OUT TO ME TO NOTIFY ME. I was giving my 2 sons and their wives a gift of 90 mins couple massages one couple after the other while I babysat the children. Due to the hour late arrival of one of the masseuses my plan was ruined, we were so stressed that it was hard for the parents to relax. We had to cut the massages to 60 mins massages. AND BIG TOE BLAMED THE MASSEUSES INSTEAD OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND TOOK OVER 45 mins to even respond…. they have no integrity and offered to refund me $125 for the shorter massages and a 20% discount on future massages… I WILL NEVER USE THAT 20% DISCOUNT IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE I DON’T TRUST THEM TO GIVE GOOD SERVICE .

We're sorry for the poor experience and the disruption to your plans. This isn’t the service we aim to provide, and we take full responsibility. We understand the frustration and appreciate your feedback. While our efforts to make amends fell short, we’re working to prevent this from happening again.

If I could I would rate my experience 0
If I could I would rate my experience. The company is completely unprofessional. They make arbitrary decisions and have an unexisting customer service,.I just found out that there are only 8 employees in total. They will answer the chat( there is no viable customer service phone number, only a Google voice phone number they barely bother answering to) only if and when it’s convenient for them.
They don’t verify the qualifications of the provider, they will let you perform any massage ( including post op lymphatic) as long as you mark a box stating that you know that massage.
I was suspended from the platform after one missed appointment , that was caused by a glitch on the app, after I received a notification that the client canceled and then the appointment was showed back as confirmed.
When I tried to explain what happened they talked down to me, treating me like I was a 3 years old. They told me that I’m irresponsible and that they won’t let me work anymore. Then they entirely stopped responding to my messages : total bummer.
I am wondering how are these scammers allowed to keep staying on the market and don’t face any consequences for their shady behavior?
Response from BigtoeOct 11, 2024
We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with the experience. We take our provider qualifications and platform policies seriously, including handling missed appointments. It sounds like there was a misunderstanding with the app, and we’re always working to improve its reliability. We strive to treat all feedback fairly and professionally, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

WARNING DO NOT USE BIG TOE
I am a disabled person and as such I need special accommodations. The massage therapist is showed up in my home was not prepared to accommodate me. I have COPD and when I lie down flat I need to have enough breathing space so that I can breathe properly. The table he opened up where my head would be had fabric completely covering the space. I told him I could not breathe. Also the way it was set up there was metal that was hitting me very uncomfortable. I told him I could not continue and to go home. Big toe does not want to refund me the $171 I paid them. I should have read the reviews beforehand. Do not use the service they are not worth it. They have no live customer service. The guy that showed up was not professional.

STAY AWAY FROM BIGTOE‼️
STAY AWAY FROM BIGTOE‼️
As a provider for this app I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst critics ‼️ They are very unprofessional and short change providers. Assignments are sent out over an hour away from your start point for $85 for hour massage and $114.50 at most for 90 minutes. They say your travel and tip is included and we can’t ask clients for tips or leave contact information.
Clearly BIGTOE doesn’t know the market or what it takes to provide mobile services and they are indeed getting over on providers and their clients‼️
Last week I had to report a support team member, JAMES, for advising me I should clearly be on a different app since I had questions about the pay, as a new provider. I never heard back from admin on the issue and yesterday the breaks went out on my car and I needed to cancel 4 hours before my appointment. I was told “JUST TO LET YOU KNOW…..your account is in suspension” HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! As a matter of fact where is that information in writing. The app is basic and generic.
There’s no contact number to speak with a live person you just texting misinformed people on the lowest tier of the company. I’ll take my chances marketing myself before I use or recommend this crappy service. This company is TRASH‼️

DO NOT TRUST!
I scheduled an appointment through Bigtoe w/a provider for a massage.
The evening of the massage, 15 minutes before the appointment I checked my phone and received no calls no notifications from them. 10 minutes before the appointment I got concerned so I reached out to the company, Bigtoe, through their support line to let them know that the provider was not there.
About 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment, Bigtoe shares that the provider was there and was trying to call me and didn’t get a response and that the place was dark. Not true!! There’s ample lighting. The provider did not leave a voicemail, did not text, did not email or even tried to ring the bell.
My phone did not ring. Somehow, the provider provided BigToe w/a screenshot of the calls she made, calls that did not come through to my phone. My phone is fully operable in addition to I’m connected to WiFi!
So either the company is a fraud and they’re scamming or they allow and support their providers scamming!
