Unfriendly and not at all concerned about my safety just their own. Which I recognize is important but not at the over charging you're doing on top of being unfriendly...

Staff was very friendly upon procedure
Staff was very friendly upon procedure, however, when it came to checking results youncould tell the staff was frustrated and was tired of answering calls. I had to go to patient first just to get a return to work notice which cost me hundreds of dollars because they stopped answering the phone.

I'm sorry you were not able to get someone on the phone. We are doing are very best in responding to the volume of exams and testing. Thank you for taking time to leave feedback.

Health care isn't so healthy anymore.
The attendants outside were not changing gloves between patient's and were "half heartedly" wiping the ones they had on with disenfectant towelettes. Also when signing in I had to give a credit card number for some hidden fees that might come up. (After producing my insurance card.) In which seems a little unethical to me.

Refund finally received.
I'm still waiting for my $35 refund I was assured I would receive in the next 7-10 days which was over 3 weeks ago. They coded the test wrong and charger me for an office visit. It was only a COVID 19 test. I will never use them again! I finally spoke to someone who actually processed the transaction. She saw that it was never processed and took care of it. The money was returned to my account.

As a former employee
As a nurse at BetterMed, I thought it was great that I could be seen for $25, and no more. When I inquired about not having a co-pay, I was informed that I wouldn't have one because I had my insurance and my husband's insurance.
So, my vitals were taken, my provider, Rob, was amazing like he is with everyone and sent a Tamiflu prescription to my pharmacy. The employees and management at the Ashland location are amazing. My problem is with billing and the runaround afterwards.
Flash forward to now. My bill is $135. I called billing, and they said I have to call my insurance company to get it fixed.
I opted to not jump through hoops, paid the $135 just to not deal with it again. I don't have time to argue with insurance companies (my insurance from bettermed was aetna) and I'm grateful I can afford to just pay it and be done with it and them.
Our email stated "full-time and part-time employees, spouses and children treated in our sites will pay a $25 co-pay at visit time – and no more. Under the new program, BetterMed will bill insurers (where appropriate), then cover the remainder of your balances."
I can honestly say that when I was seen at a medExpress, I was charged much less, and I didn't even work there (they were less personable though).
So, for speed and great staff, they deserve a 5 star rating at the Ashland location, just make sure you can afford to be seen there and that you don't get hit with an unexpected bill later. They keep your credit card on file.

Patient Experience- Much Room for Improvement
My visit was very brief, and I received the care that i needed, left out feeling much better then i did when i left. However, my experience was not as pleasant as I would have liked it. I was sick, not feeling well and when i was called to the registrar she was so "task" oriented that she didn't even take the time to greet me and say hello. I went to the desk, and she said "insurance card and photo id". She checked me in, i went in the back I cant tell you the name of the person who took my vitals, she never introduced herself. The nurse, was apparently having a rough day, very short, to the point and non compassionate. The provider, well he was ok. Convenience at Bettermed is great patient experience, not so great!

A visit
I usually go to Patient First or CVS Minute, but you are conveniently located and I thought I would try Better Med. Once I figured out how to check in on the computer, which was not obvious at all, there was a long wait to be seen. I waited a long time in the room once I had been admitted. I saw 3 different people, a PA and two nurses. Then I got a prescription for an antibiotic. Three weeks later, my ears are still clogged and I'm still coughing. Everyone apologized for the waiting...which was nice, but I doubt that I will return to Better Med. Thanks for the opportunity for feedback.
