They didn't really do anything. I went in with Vertigo, because we were in the midst of Flu season, and Patient First had been very busy, BetterMed's parking lot was always empty. They asked me a few questions, took my blood sugar, and wrote a prescription for Meclizine. That same day, my vertigo got so bad, my vision went fuzzy, I got a bad headache, etc. -- all of which lead me to the emergency room. At the emergency room, they did what they could do, and took a CT Scan. I setup an appointment with a PCP, and went to patient first 2 times. The reason I mention this is my cost (deductible/copay) of the ER Visit + CT Scan + 2 Patient First Visits + PCP Visit COMBINED were less than what the single visit to BetterMed was, and with the other visits to the other places, I feel like I at least got something out of it.

Came in with a fairly severe upper respiratory infection, blood and mucus pouring down the back of my throat for over a week. Was told to go buy some mucinex, and was unexpectedly offered an unnecessary strep test which I agreed to in confusion, since I was not presenting any symptoms of strep. Coworker from whom I caught it was prescribed antibiotics which cleared it up for him in a week, while I struggled with it for weeks after. $110 charge.

Received the wrong antibiotic for a puncture wound. Ended up with a staph infection. Missed a week of work.

What the dr diagnosed me with was totally ALL wrong. The staff registering and the lady who took vitals were good.

I was better off going to the hospital. This place was a waste of money and they have the nerve to be classified as a specialist.

My children were scheduled to see the doctor at 10:05am and 10:20am. We had arrived 20 minutes prior to the first appointment time. They were not seen until 11:30am. More than an hour after the appointment time. This is unacceptable. The doctor was very informative with care and gave good advice.

I had symptoms of strep and you did not treat me because I tested negative. I tested positive for strep 2 days later while I was out of town. It was the worst. You should change your protocol. The doctor in NC did not even do a strep test...he treated my symptoms.

The experience was satisfactory, however the cost was astronomical. I took my 7 year old in for the flu and saw a physician's assistant (never even saw a doctor). They diagnosed her with the flu and gave her 2 flu test (type A and B). When we got the bill they had charged us $369 for the visit alone and $50 a piece for the test. This was about 5 times the amount our family physician would have charged us for the same service.
