While the fit and sizing advice is quite OK, the recommendations for specific bicycle models are lacking and have significant room for improvement.

Everyone with a road bike is usually pretty much capable of doing the basic measuring (and has the tooling). This site provides the important calculations that you need to do the basic fitting yourself. Especially useful if you buy a second-hand bike! My personal experience is that I was able to check on 4 important points and did some changes, with as a result, wayyy less hurting from long rides.

The results I got seemed very off, I double-checked and triple-checked the measurements, but the results were out of every imaginable scope. I have short legs and a long torso, resulting in very large bike sizes. E.g. Canyon recommends a size small, but Best Bike Advice recommends a size large with a very very long reach. I don't have confidence in buying the bike based on this fit. Taking measurements seems to be relatively simple, though help from someone is very beneficial.

This service work pretty well. I was able to find some positions that worked much better for me. I'd say it's definitely worth it if you are having trouble getting your geometry right and there is not bike shop in your area that does fittings. I do wish that they had a feature that allows you to enter the stem length and then they recommed the bar drop.

Happy with my bikefit! I didn't know where to start when I wanted to buy a bike, but this tool helped me. It was very interesting to see what questions/measurements I had to fill in.
