SURGERY IN MEXICO
Ok first of id like to start by saying i am a paramedic and former marine so when i heard about getting my weight loss surgery in mexico i thought the idea was ludicrous to say the least, I thought "yeah right i'm not going to mexico" i've been in health care long enough to thoroughly understand sanitation and cleanliness procedures that we hold to such a high standard here in the states. A good friend of mine and paramedic partner went to mexico for surgery unbeknownst to me at the time and after returning to work months later and telling me about her experience i began to get intrigued, so i began the arduous process of researching weight loss surgery in mexico, i found BELITE WEIGHT LOSS, i filled out the online info and received a call from joanne within an hour we spoke in length about the type of surgery i wanted and the pro and cons of the surgery in mexico. I took almost a year of speaking with joanne before i felt really comfortable with going through with the surgery so march 10th, 2017 i flew from Georgia to El paso, Tx and just like she told me the shuttle was waiting on me and my dad we left and went into mexico without a problem during the ride over i was still apprehensive about the hospital until we pulled in into the parking lot, The hospital Star Medica was Beautiful it is still new like i was told we were ushered into the hospital where we completed final paperwork and payment. I was taken directly to my room and from then on it was first class service Jorge was my concierge and was available anytime i called or one of his associates, the staff nurses came in and began preliminary testing on me prior to my surgery everything happened really fast and efficient, Later that same afternoon i was taken down to the recovery room to prep for surgery while i was on the bed the medic side kicked in i started closely scrutinizing everything i could see or think of and found that i couldn't find anything dirty or below american standards what i did find was highly trained and skilled health care providers that adhered to strict ppe and cleanliness procedures the bed side manner of all the staff was amazing even though there was a language barrier occasionally, the anesthesiologist came in and was very warm and comforting to me during my process, the O.R. was cleaner than any i have seen here in the states no spec of dust to be found the surgeons were all amazing and very helpful with any questions i had. Post surgery the staff on the floor was amazing i never had to hit my nurse call button they were in my room like clock work and once i was up walking they would always stop and check on me, the floor i was on had many americans on it that had come to mexico for surgery and i made good friends with several people while there. Leaving the hospital was extremely nerve racking for my not because of the staff but because i didn't have a passport i was told to bring my B.C. and DL which i did but i was still worried about the boarder and just like Joanne told me i did not have any problem crossing the boarder, i would highly recommend BELITE and surgery in mexico to anybody considering it i'm 10 day post surgery and already 35 pounds off thanks to the belite team for helping me regain control and my life back.
