Terrible site-building tools. Use AI or google side builder instead, you'll get much better results at a fraction of the cost. The customer support is also terrible. You get redirected to Buzz with no way to speak to a human to solve a problem, even when you are a paying customer! I would recommend to stay away from them!

cant stop spam, the unsubscribe pane in the table on mobile refuses to load properly go figure. cant contact company due to some stupid chatbot and no emails listed anywhere to be found go figure they dont want to be emailed either how ironic. found a phone number online go figure they dont answer that either.

I can't even create an account. There is no way to contact support. The bot is, well, a joke. I never got the verifiction sms, which by the way why are they asking for such personal information? If they can't even handle such simple task, why should I trust them for my list management? No way. Edit: Your answer is absurd, am I supposed to guess that you don't 'serve' my country? Besides the fact that it is totally wrong, when I have to input my phone (thanks for calling me spammer, by the way), my country is autoselected. Nevermind, went somewhere else. Worst support and compliance. They allow people to spam and scam and when people who actually send proper emails start growing, they shut them down without giving any reason. They need people to buy their ads and boosts. They have a couch potato compliance guy who knows nothing and the CEO wants to be a social media influencer. Update: So you provide the exact details on why you shut down an account to prove your point? Update 2: Mailchimp, Sendgrid, Braze, and similar platforms have compliance teams that provide clear and specific reasons when terminating an account. It's time to stop using vague policies as an excuse to cover up your inability to address bad actors effectively. Instead, you're penalizing small business clients who rely on your services. This lack of informed decision-making reflects poorly on your approach.

If you're considering Beehiiv, I urge you to think twice. I made the mistake of trusting them while building a newsletter for my 14,000 subscribers, only to be met with disappointment and frustration. After paying for a full account and verifying my identity and credentials, they blocked me from importing my subscriber list. The logic here is baffling. If you already have a list, does Beehiiv expect you to start from scratch? This ridiculous restriction completely defeats the purpose of using their service. Before signing up, I wish I had read the reviews more carefully. Look past the obviously fake, overly positive ones and focus on the overwhelming number of genuine 1-star reviews. These speak volumes about how bad their service truly is. It feels like they’re using fake reviews as damage control to “freshen up” their poor reputation, but the truth is out there. This isn't just a bad experience—it’s a scam waiting to be revealed. Mark my words: Beehiiv’s shortcomings will be exposed in 2025. Don’t make the same mistake I did by trusting them. This will go down as one of the worst decisions you can make for your newsletter business. Save yourself the frustration and find a platform that truly supports its users.

Total scammers, they don’t respond to my tickets and I have their $39 plan

No customer service When I started with them (roughly a year ago-ish), I picked them because they had real, human customer service if needed. I was having trouble figuring out how to format things a certain way, and customer service responded to my question quickly and clearly. But I had an issue today and tried to contact help, and I discovered that now they have switched to only having a chat bot. (They call it "AI," but that's a misnomer. This thing isn't "intelligent." It's just your old style chat bot.) You have to pay to upgrade to the premium service (Minimum $39 a month!!) if you want the "luxury" of getting customer service when there's a problem. Trash. This is why I left Substack. I'm leaving these guys too. Also, ever since switching over to Beehiiv, I haven't gotten any new subscribers. They aren't doing anything to promote their users. Greed ruins everything, I swear.

I bought their scale plan in order to use boosts. I have gained 200+ active subscribers, done multiple posts on an account that is over 2 months old and I still can not use boost feature. The responses from their support are completely useless. They copy-paste their messages from previous cases instead of actually focusing on solving them. Dont give them your money because they will not even allow you use a feature you PAID FOR. CON ARTISTS.
